for those who are using and want to unlock your motorola dex TMO or ATT and use them in Latin America (Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica) can use this method of unlocking the motorola dex which proves them free and functional.

In the idea of the method will fit and easy unlocking the phone if there is no desire / opportunity to buy unlock code. To work the method needed root access phone and access to the terminal. you can root the DEXT whith the method with SuperOneClickv1.9.1-ShortFuse SuperOneClickv1.9.1-ShortFuse.zip

Method:
1. download "cliq_unlock.rar", "cliq_xt_unlock.rar" or "backflip_unlock.rar" depending on your phone, unzip, copy the file memdump.ko the card into the root, mount the card so that the android had access to it.
2. in the terminal gets right root, and run the command
Code:
# insmod /sdcard/memdump.ko

You should receive an invitation to enter the following command, if hatched some kind of mistake - recheck what has been done wrong.

3. Now go back to the input screen unlock code - on cliq, cliq xt, or backflip and for this you can enter # 073887 * in the dialer. In the input code, enter any 8 digit number and press Unlock, if all goes well - body must notify the successful unlock.

ps: I am not responsible for your use of this method on your phone.

Code:

	<pre class="bbcode_code"style="height:36px;"># insmod /sdcard/memdump.ko

cliq_unlock.rar

this method of unlocking is done using the rsd lite and lose the 3g but no to worry about after you do the unlock use the recovery method that is posted on http://modmymobile.com/forums/562-mo...d-3g-dext.html Once you done that you can root the DEXT whith the method with SuperOneClickv1.9.1-ShortFuse SuperOneClickv1.9.1-ShortFuse.zip solo tiene que darle en root al programa y listo empieza a hacer su trabajo, root install a custom recovery and install the custom rom without radiobaseband of your choice and you will have a dext whith 3g updated

Samsung Galaxy & S II are spying on you, for South Korea! (supposed to be South Korea).

According to a South Korean newspaper (Donga) the Samsung phones have not less than 3 apps which spy on everything you do.

Software similar to Carrier IQ of the U.S., which secretively gathers personal information in mobile phones including call records, text messages and location data, has been discovered in Samsung Galaxy smartphones as well.
..
Three applications and Program Monitor, which are basic programs of the Samsung Galaxy S and Galaxy S II, have been found to play functions similar to those of Carrier IQ. Samsung has sold more than 10 million units of these two smartphone models in Korea alone.
..
Mirror App in the Galaxy S is a simple application that displays the user`s face via a built-in camera. The app, however, was found to have been designed to allow access to more than 40 functions of the smartphone including phone number lists, calendar information, location data, SMS messages, photos and recorded content stored in the mobile device.

This means that with intent, a producer can freely delete phone numbers or modify location data, view SMS messages, and listen to recorded content. The company can also use such information for marketing. Designed to allow the user to view his or her face, the app is thus effectively granted the capacity to allow the phone maker to freely control data in the device.

You might want to backup your current ROM before testing CM7, read here for a tutorial on how to do so: https://code.google.com/p/atrix-dev-.../BackupRestore

You might need an updated recovery with ext4 support to flash Beta, either flash the recovery found in ROM Manager or the one linked below.

If you want to test and help, please read this, it will help you get more useful bug reports :) https://code.google.com/p/atrix-dev-team/wiki/Testing

If you are upgrading from Pre-Beta #1, #2, #3 or #4, wiping is not required but recommended. If you experience weird non-reported issues, wipe and try again.

Remember, if you have any specific issue, check our issue tracker (https://code.google.com/p/atrix-dev-team/issues/list). If you don't find the problem listed on there and want to collaborate, please fill a bug report using the instructions linked above! :)

Do you want to collaborate? We accept donations!

IF YOU DOWNLOADED THIS FROM SOMEWHERE ELSE (TECHGEEKGUY) I WILL NOT SUPPORT OR HELP YOU IN ANY WAY. THIS IS THE ORIGINAL THREAD WITH ALL THE ORIGINAL FILES! ANOTHER SITE (TECHGEEKGUY) HAS POSTED THESE FILES NOT USING MY LINKS & APPEARS TO BE PROFITING AS WELL

IF YOU ARE OVERCLOCKED AND HAVE SYSTEM STABILITY ISSUES OR APP ISSUES DON'T REPORT ANYTHING. THE ONLY ISSUES I WILL LOOK AT ARE WITH THE STOCK SPEEDS.

Really this began as me just playing around bored on my day off. I said I wasn't going to take on this project, well that obviously didn't stick lol. Since the Cliq & CliqXT are now official CyanogenMod devices I thought I might attempt to get this up and running for the Backflip as well. Will this ever be 100% working? Hopefully. My goal is for this to eventually become an official CyanogenMod device. This is not Blur don't ask. I was just posting this on twitter but that has quickly gotten out of hand. 50 people report the same bugs over and over. Here there can be a little bit more organization. 1st don't demand anything from me. 2nd read all the posts for possible known issues that other users post. 3rd I don't care about bug reporting. We know the last issue which isn't even an issue lol. If you are going to nitpick go back to 2.1 seriously.

thanks to: flavio_frow (who has been my right-hand man), turl, kernelzilla, firesnatch, kb7sqi, ngiordano, wicked_d, berga.d & last but not least to the CyanogenMod team!

I recommend using a newer recovery for full compatibility with Rom Manager since that is part of CyanogenMod. This is my modded version of Clockwork 5.0.2.3. This is NOT the thread to ask how to flash a recovery. Sorry.
mod-cwr-5023.img
This is the unmodified 5.0.2.3

Download the latest nightly build from here or Rom Manager!

For a full Google experience you will want to also flash the following immediately after the rom
gapps-gb-20110828-signed.zip
If you have any fixes send me a pull request here https://github.com/j-r0dd/android_device_motorola_motus or you can always monitor updates there.
