What are you think about soft test point?
This is another method from Russians to put phone in blank mode without HW TP.
I didn't tested this method so who wish to tray i USE THIS ON HIS OWN RISK!!!

Have you tried this method yet? I know at the time you origionaly posted, you had not tried it..
Has anyone tried this method and had success? What is the proceedure for using this method?

Yes, I tested it, this method worked for me, but my phone bootloader is 0A.30. For 0A.52 I am not shure, some members tested it without results, in original thread stay that for bootloader 0A.52 doesn't work in all cases!?

I finaly UN Bricked my V3i..
Woa, it was an experience and I have no exact idea as to why / how it finaly worked.. but it did.

This may be useful.. Hee is what I *think* happened...

The phone was bricked , blank screen, un recognized in by any mod software.. I had tried numerious times and methods to test point to no avail..
So.. I gave up.. let the phone sit in the box with no battery, no sim card for about a week or so..

Yesterday I took it around to a few shops all shoke their heads and said they could not fix it /help..

So, this morning, I tried to test point ONE more time.. before giviving up and visitng the motrola service center to claim a warentee repair ( or try too.. they have replaced the main board once already)

and Walla!!! shezam! I got the phone in to S blank neptune bingo just like that!!
Down graded the boot loader to 0A30..

all went swimmingly.. after the upload boot loader 0A30 the phone restarted and the hdefault start up tune played.. (the phone was still un assembled)!!

then I flashed simba4's full MP..

All is well.. accept no one can hear me when I call them so something is buggy.. will work on that after I charge battery and just enjoy the new flash for a bit!

I am guessing letting the phone sit with no power for a few days / a week may have been the trick. Possible previous attemps to TP the phone may?? have left som residuale power some where in the board???? and then it drained and I could tp..

Wiser minds than mine may figure this out, but for those with helplessly bricked V3i's (maybe others??)
try leaving the batery off for a week or so and the simm out as well, no mem card either, then re try the tp!

It may work. I read earlier a post where someone had ghad his bricked for 2 years and revived it.. could be the same thing of letting the power slowly dissapate from the board / phone..

thought i finally got it !!!! i didn't remove the test point till everything was done, and i had the ramldr2 telling me that the phone load and shutdown was compelted. i just booted the phone back up and it's telling me i have a.30 now !!

whoops, i thought i had it..

loaded bootloader a.30

phone turned on fine and went into the mp that i had on there.

i tried to flash the SUBZ3R0 a1r lite_r 1_1 pack to the phone, but now my phone just sits on the a.30 bootloader screen and does nothing !

anyone ideas ???

So you downgraded bootloader and phone stuck in bootloader mode? Is your firmware maybe r47a_g_08.d9.86r? this firmware is sticky so you cant downgrade it without sticky patcher and dualboot. Try to flash back r47a_g_08.d9.86r or if you wish Subzero's MP apply sticky patcher to CG1 and replace original CG7 % CG18 with dualboot CG7 & CG18 then flash it to phone.

i reflashed the org sw i had on there and it works again, so i'll look into those links you posted. and will post the results in a bit.

as of right now, i was able to follow the directions and patch the subzero files and it worked. the only step i didn't do was the patch with "Run Phone Lte2.exe" cause the file was unavailable to download..

so far so good .

Runphone LTE2 isn't necesseary in your case, it is only if you wish to change platform from R47A... to R479... or reverse, but I will check the link.

turn off your phone. Wait for 10 secs
Press * # together, then keeping it pressed, now press red power button..altogether.
You will see s/w version and bootloader version in screen.

Your phone is V3t, but mainboard is same, so it will work. You also can use bootloader for V3i. Download and zoom testpoint image to view correct point, important is contact of small IC, second contact is ground, so you can connect it anywhere to metal shield (or cover).

I wanted to try the SW TP, but unfortunately, I couldn't make sense of the translated instructions. I really tried, but there are some foreign terms. I believe the manual was originally Russian and perhaps it was automatically translated using BabelFish or something.

If someone can write a quick tutorial for the SW TP, that'd be really great. It's perfectly ok even if it's not in the best English, just something more understandable. I really hope I didn't sound rude, I assure you I have no intention. Just really want to try 0A.30.

and dont worry i know how you feel when it comes to HW lol i FRIED two V3r's in one night just cause i was trying to expirement with going to R3443U2 to R4515 LOL.
