How do I use my web browser/email?

Firstly, I apoligize if this is in the wrong forum, It seemed like the right place at the time

I have a rogers phone, and I want to go to a mobile site on my phone, but i cant seem to find anyway to enter a URL.... just the stupid rogers mall, and a search box that doesnt seem to be for a url.

Also how do i setup my email messages.... I thought i did set it up, I used my rogers email address, but it never recieves any mail, even when I do have new emails..... but there are no errors... it appears to be working, except that it doesnt seem to ever see any new emails.

any help is appreciated, ive never really had a phone before, and my last phone barely had an lcd screen, so alot of this stuff is fairly new to me.
