help please

ok... heres the deal... i use an l7... my friend has a v3i and he does not know anything about our wonderful website here and is not patient enough to learn either... so, he gave me his v3i to mod.... with the stock firmware on it... before i go further, i had modded only 3 or 4 other v3is before and all of them, only changing skins and the odd firmware... this time, i decided to take it further... i removed the rsa protection by myself and then did some useful seem edits and added funlights and all that... but i was not satisfied... i found this firmware on another forum (i know... i know... not this one... sorry... my bad...)... anywho... it was an r47a_g_08.d8.a1r... rsa patched and corelet patched... i read through all the posts of the others who tried the firmware on and no one complained of anything... so, i slapped it on... changed some skins... worked perfectly... i was happy... he was thrilled... now, all this was 3 weeks ago... outta the blue, he calls me today and tells me today that for the past few hours his phone has been hanging on him... every 15 seconds or so (he has been known to exaggerate), the backlights go off and the phone does not respond to anything... then, it comes back again... right where it stopped... no change whatsoever.... he obviously blames me... any ideas? could it be something to do with the flip? he has had problems with the flip before...

it hink its not a software problem its a harware thing

Get him to remove memory card and see if that helps. If memory card is playing up phone often pauses

it might be a problem with transflash as mike described,if ur using a high memory transflash remove it be starting ur phone.

yeah some f/ws have this problem....try reflashing the mp

i dont thinks its a mem prob coz my A1R had this prob too
and i have jus a 256 card
