Help Needed

Well guys I am new in this forum,and I have a V3i with iTunes(R47A).I want to mod it,to make the slow interface better,make it fast,enable Edge,Improve the camera qualtiy.After going thorugh this forum,I understood that the first software i needed was P2K,So i downloaded it,installed it,it was installed correctly.Then I connected my phone and started up P2k,but it says that no phone is connected(I am using Vista)
So guys please help me,and if possible provide me with the links where there is a step by step guide on upgrading your Motorola V3i firmware.

first off all welcome to m3,the best modding forum on the internet
okay so here im going to instruct u step by step
1.first thing u need to have be4 doing anything is to install vista compatible p2k drivers.u can get thejm frm the download section
2.now after installing them u need to have all the p2k softwares
3.another major part of modding tools is that u need to have flashing tools like RSDLITE AND FLASH AND BACKUP(dont ask for them,u have to google for them).

so if u want our help in modding ur phone to a better one,just post the full imformation abt ur phone
bootloader version and software version
u can know both by turniong off ur phone and after some time by pressing *(star)#(hash) and power button for few seconds
then a black screen will come up which is known as bootloader screen ,u will see some imformation written on that screen,so just post the imformation u see on the screen.

what type of mod u want to do to ur phone?
if u want tohave the mods in ur phone with one step just flash dmatts mp frm the download section and flash it with the help of rsdlite or flash and backup.

download RSDlite (search it on google .. ) and flash you phone using that .. also download "Flash&backup" (from google) ..

1: backup ur phone with flash & backup tool .. (save your backup in .SHX format ..

2: then open rsdlite and connect your V3i via USB.

3: browse the monster pack (download it from downloads, prefer Dmatts MP) which is a .SHX file too ... and click start

your phone will be flashed/flexed with all latest mods .. Enjoy ..

Flashed the firmware without even backing up the orignal one,aint this 14 year kid a genius

Well one thing i Noticed is that I am now not able to open iTunes,If i press the Music Button it will say Please Wait.. and it is stuck der only !!

Any help?

One more thing guys,I got a 2Gb micro SD card,but V3i only supports MicroSD cards of upto 512 mb,any way to make it support cards larger than 512mb?

Also Was EDGE enabled on my V3i after updating the firmware?

P.S.-I see a lot of Indians in here !!!

WHat V3i you bought .. ??? coz i also have same itunes version and it came with 1 GB card ... and it supports upto 2 GB ...

regarding ur itunes problem , it can be solved by uploading seems which is given by above guy .. !!!

Hi GENIUS, why didn't you backuped your phone? Remember things sometimes goes WRONG! Two important notes before modding:
backup and full battery.
I hope you don't need to come here some day crying for help, saying: Help me please, I bricked my phone!

Well guys,now Itunes is working properly but what about 2GB Memory card??I checked Motorola.com site and it says Max memory size supported is uptop 512mb !!!

Can you please help me with it??

dont worry 2 gb card wont cause problems
u can install hacked itunes and have unlimited songs
use my latest mp in mobilejunkies its the fastest and best looking

Can anyone tell me how to backup the phone firmware??

I will be doing what dev.meena told me but this time I will prefer to backup the phones firmware!!!

Since I have the MP monster pack,should i just go ahead with the flash??

Also are you sure that 2GB memory cards will be supported??? and that iTunes is the orignal one or a Modded one with walkman series theme ??

Also my bootloader version is 0A.30 so is it safe to shift to your MOD??

Also can you tell me about which Monster Pack you are talkin about??

"yes" to ur all questions
1,for making a backup u need to have flash and backup(its a warez so don"t ask where u can get it)google is the best friend here
2.the mp which dev described is at mobilejunkies(its a warez site,so can"t post the full name,you can google for it too)
