I've just discovered how to enable unlimited video recording. I edited the 004e seem to do it. Heres the edited seem for any of you who want to try it.

Note: You can't install this seem with P2KTools it will hang the program. You can install it with p2k manager or easy seem.

Once you've installed the seem set your video length to maximum and you should be good to go. I've tried this and you can record over 1hour of video (depending on your card size)

This method works for the MP4 recording format aswell a 3GP

From what I see, and tried out myself (successfully), you edit seem 004e Record 0001 and change offset 412 to a value, I chose 56 for a 20 Mg limit in size, (28 = 10 Mg, 14 = 5 Mg, 01 = 1 Mg, etc.) previously I couldn't record more than about 55 seconds and while I didn't record the whole size during my test, I did get past a minute and 15 seconds... (yeh, I'm impatient!)

--> (keep in mind that I'm impatient as I said) just recorded 8 minutes and 14 seconds of video, 4846Kb, type 3GP... Good enough for me! (grin) <-- :cool1:

i have 2 no itunes v3i`s
i have sort of moded the red one when i put DAP into the phone but i have not moded the gold one.
anyway both of these phones have unlimited video recording on phone memory and sd.
can someone please tell me why i didnt have to mod these phones to get unlimited video recording.

SEEM edit seem 004e Record 0001
change offset 412 to a value

that seem edit works a treat - it's my first proper mod (excluding adding some skins) and i didn't brick my v3i! I used moto4lin on my mac, so any other mac users out there dont be put off. To get the value up to 56 (20mb) you have to tick bit 1,2,4 and 6 in offset 412 (thats row 041_ and colum _2 for any other noobs like me!) in seem 004e_0001 (see attached screenshot)

Like you i only tested it out to about 2mins 30 but i'm going to a gig tomorrow night so i'll be sure to test it out then - it used to be so annoying when your video cuts out half way through a song! Now it's solved!

Now that I've gotten rid of the R479_G_08.B5.3DR V3i and traded it in for a R47A_G_08.D9.3DR V3i (iTunes) I get to do it all over again! lol If my wife will let me mod hers, I'll post the results to that as well as she has the V3r - although since she's running R479_G_08.B5.3DR and it's a DAP phone I'm thinking no worries...

My phone says 6 at the top of the video screen instead of 0. Why is that? Is it an error i did during the installation of the edited seem. I use p2k Man. thanks!

There's another way of extending your video duration without editing your seems. this software call "P2K Advanced Editor"

->Phone Service->Video->
you can change the Video Record File Size & Format ( 3Gp or MP4 )
