Hello guys, i am having a serious problem with my battery on my V3i (R479_G_08.B5.86R), and it lasts only 1 day maximum without even touching the phone! I bought 2 new batteries from eBay (one genuine, one non genuine) but the problem remains. I gave the non-genuine battery to a friend's V3i and he said that it lasted 5 days using bluetooth and making calls frequently...
I also observed that my battery meter on the menu drops from 6 to 4 to 2 and never saw it to 5, 3 or 1. I flashed it again with rsd lite but nothing. When i bought it (brand new) it was working fine but after 2 years started the battery problems and i put it in the box for a year...
Can you help me i absolutely love this phone and want it for my second device so bad! Sorry for my english, thanks!
You have narrowed the problem very well - obviously the charging circuitry has degraded and the motherboard needs to be replaced. There are plenty of used/ugly/broken V3i's on eBay for cheap from which you can extract the motherboard, but flashing may be a problem. Try to find one with that same firmware if you can, or at least one branded by the same carrier.
