V3i DAP Gain Table

Has anyone found a fix for the earpeice gain in the Gain Table when the bit is already set to 8 as many of the newer DAP V3i's are ?
No matter what I do or what Gain Table adjustments instructions I follow I cannot get the earpiece volume higher. Everything else works great but when that earpiece is set to 8 even changing it to 9 doesen't help.

Offset 0D in my gain_table.bin started life at 08. It now lives happily at 0B. Much improved.
