We're Getting There.. Its the Mp4's
hey danation, i've never even had to see what dap version i use on the L7 coz there was never such a problem, i guess various...
on the v3i's i tried all i could find in the hope that one would work but none did.. even the 2 recommended on this thread for my phone version.. same prob until the 'delete mp4's revelation'

You could try iTunes instead. Also, I think there's an ELF music player.

thanks i'll need to look into that, i wonder if there'll ever be a media player that does them all mp3's & mp4's like on the windows mobile stuff.... hmmmmm
Going back to the DAP problem, it strange how this MP4 problem only arises when DAP is re-installed.. when the original is used, no problem.. meybe there's something pretty obvious thats being overlooked when coding.. it would be nice to get a resolution for al the V3i users Last edited by tinotino; 04-10-2009 at 04:23 AM.

try to install 5.0.19 or newer one.

I have tried to install about 5+ different version of DAP and each time it stays on the loading screen (updating music) and doesn't get past that.
someone said the firmware may make a difference?

its for those who can't set the attrib.

Downloaded DAP version 5.00.15 & DAP version 5.00.19 from page 1 and both do the same thing...it just hangs at the beginning of "updating music directory"

change the DRM of your phone.
my modding experience lies with PSP and Wii,
I got funlights on my cell phone + custom boot up animations and a few JAR games I intalled....that's about it. Not sure what the DRM is...care to save me research time?

DRM-- is that the icons at the top of ypur phone.
I just saw in your screenshot of signature. !!!
Thats why i told.
R479 drm versions are includd in downloads phone files -> v3i -> drm section...
check that out.

Hi Nina, could you try this guide? You can also get the latest MotoMidMan and test the DAP files I included there since I've tested them to be 100% working. Make sure you go through the instructions once more. Hope you tell us if you fixed it.

the method you suggested "almost" worked.
I have two things I want to do.
1. Get the Digital Audio Player working
2. Use custom themes (through the "PERSONALIZE" menu) though this is not a priority
I have not been able to use the PERSONALIZE menu for months. I tried to do a firmware upgrade
I have 1 file called: R479_G_08.B4.85R_PDS005_LP0039_DRM0101_VSTGERMAN20 6_JPJAVA_G_08_V3i_6_03R_SE7721AXXF10AC_1FF.shx
I have 1 other file: R479_G_08.B4.34R_CG15_lizdrm_v3i.SHX
I tried one and now it's stuck on this screen (and wont load the phone properly)
I tried another SHX file and nothing changed
May I request some feedback or a file to get things back to normal?
