How to: Correctly Install DAP

the method you suggested "almost" worked.

I have two things I want to do.

1. Get the Digital Audio Player working
2. Use custom themes (through the "PERSONALIZE" menu) though this is not a priority

I have not been able to use the PERSONALIZE menu for months. I tried to do a firmware upgrade

I have 1 file called: R479_G_08.B4.85R_PDS005_LP0039_DRM0101_VSTGERMAN20 6_JPJAVA_G_08_V3i_6_03R_SE7721AXXF10AC_1FF.shx
I have 1 other file: R479_G_08.B4.34R_CG15_lizdrm_v3i.SHX

I tried one and now it's stuck on this screen (and wont load the phone properly)


I tried another SHX file and nothing changed
May I request some feedback or a file to get things back to normal?

So you did get DAP to work? DAP problem solved?

But now you want to use the Personalize menu? You have sticky f/w (86R) so you won't be able to flash lower f/w like the 2 .shx you mentioned (unless you do some patching I believe but that's another story). For now, you can only flash the same f/w or a higher version. Try reflashing this stock MP first, see if it fixes your Personalize menu problem:

once i also had same problem of not opening Personalize menu.
But after i uncheck java debugging and some other options via p2k tools -- extras ...
I got my menu back ....

...no, the DAP application didn't work. so I decided to try another firmware (hoping it would do a master reset of everything.
My modding experience is with the Wii and PSP...and that's what usually happens with those machines when you downgrade or upgrade the firmware. It resets everything.)


I tried this http://modmymoto.com/forums/download...=file&id=27368 link you gave...I used RSD LITE V4.5.5 and tried to install it...everything looked like it was going well...but when it said it was finished, the program said it was resetting the phone...and the phone stays on the exact same image



I press and hold POWER and when I let go...the screen goes blank for a moment and goes right back. Remove the battery and the instant the battery goes back in...it goes to this screen again.

any ideas?

check out cg7 and cg4 from that pack.
and reflash.

Hi Nina, you can also try flashing again, but this time, use P2K Easy Tool 4.1. Sorry you have to Google it because it's considered warez and that's not allowed here. P2K Easy Tools doesn't read .sbf files so here's the .shx version of the same stock f/w I gave you earlier:

If you're still stuck in B/L mode (the black screen you're getting), you can start a new thread about it so others who have encountered this problem can help you out better. I never got stuck in B/L mode before and flashing my stock f/w (or my backup) has always worked for me, so beyond that, I can't risk giving you instructions I'm not sure about.
