Just released! U9 mod 3.2 : MagxCN Final by bobby0825

Functions:
a. New version of MagicBox (faster than the old one!)
b. MpkgBox 2.0 Pro included, too. (Comes with full function, and free to all.)
c. 7-zip included, able to open almost all types of compressed files.
ch. Engineering mode enabled(not recommended to use it if you're a normal user.)
d. FTP access function
e. SWAP supported (MGX application needed)
f. Full access for all JAVA applications
g. Run .lin .sh files with a simple click
h. View .txt .cfg .chm .ini .conf .c .cc .cpp .h .hh .java .lng .desktop .log files with a simple click, too!
i. MGS theme install supported
j. SIMless powering up enabled
k. Showing album pic when playing with min. mode
l. added some more animations of the external display
m. theme CHARM included, fixed the theme OXYGEN and the third/sixth theme deleted
n. added 'SuperSetting'(In Settings), for changing the ext. display screen saver, poweron display, menu type, ooxx....
o. Engineering function added.(in Settings)

Note:
1. Before flashing the mod, you need to :
a.flash bootloader 06.2A,
b.flash the noRSA file and
c. now you can flash the main mod file.
2. Recommended to do a master reset after flashing the phone.
3. Remember to disable the ext. key lock, in order to prevent the phone from locking itself and will need to restart. ( Settings > Security Settings > External Key Lock > Timer > Off )
4. To change fonts:
copy your font into the folder "Unknown(or something means that)" using the name "myfont.ttf (main font) and/or mynum.ttf (dialing number)"

Notes:
1. ZN5's skins may also work on U9, if you don't mind the minor problem of display on the external screen. (But the touch screen will still work.)
2. When adding a skin, just put it into the skins filder of your phone or memory card. The Folder cannot include a space in it's name.
Example: Phone memory >> skins >> CrystalCarbon (Will give you a error if you name it as "Crystal Carbon")
3. Just put the MGX files in whatever place you want and install it with a click. The installed applications will be shown in the MagicBox
4. If you have registered the Mpkgbox or Magicbox before, there's no need to register(pay) again. Just enter the same SN and that's all.

(Some translate to English by me. But with lots of lots of misspells )

6. Swap Manager

a. When the Swap (supported from mod 1.3) is enabled, do not connect your Phone to PC using memory-card mode. This may cause the phone to freeze.
b. When setting the Swap size, please note that the number you're entering is the number of how many times of 16.
Example: If you wish to have a Swap of 128 MB, please enter 8, as 8*16=128.
c. If you wish to autorun your Swap, enter the Swap manager and select create autorun file. After that, enter the folder "Unrecognisable Files" of your phone memory, move the file called "Swap" to a folder called "autorun" on your memory card.
Example: Phone memory >> unrecognisable files >> file called Swap ----- move to ----- memory card >> autorun >> put the file here
d. The mem-card speed must be 66x (Class4) up in order that you can have a better Swap. (You know what will happen when Windows is using hard disk as it's virtual memory....)

11. Magx Samba
HOW TO USE:
Connect U9 to your PC
Run samba
Enter \\192.168.16.2\ in you browser(My Computer)
You'll see three things:
system -> root
phone -> phone memory
sd -> memory card

12. Change: you voice command button
Just use this to change what app to call out when pressing that button.


13. JAVA Multitask, for free versions of MPKGBOX2.0
Wanna run multiple JAVA apps, but don't wanna pay for it?
Well, this's the solution.
First, you'll have to install the Voice button changer(#12), and change it's function to MPKGBOX 2.0.
Then, long press that button, and it'll call out MPKGBOX 2.0 (Not magicbox)
Now, run this application and enjoy it.

PS. It's still buggy: You can call out one another JAVA applications, but it's still not able to switch between them xD.
For example: I first opened MeBoy, and then called out Bomberman, and then MeBoy again.
It's actually running 2 x MeBoy a the time but not return to it -.-

@evilJ: MGX's like CPU clock and hidden folder work because they are simply scripts in a mgx package. Apps like mediaplayer are compiled applications for a specific platform if they are not for the U9 they will most likely not work. And btw, what skin is that youre using?

But it's not a U9 theme xD
I just downloaded it from the Zn5 area-.-
It works, fine, if you don't mind the X symbol of the ext. display when you're playing music xD
And actually it doesn't effect the phone at all...

1. I am running Indian Gold edition firmware. It is fast and ergonomic ( compared to the crappy fido firmware). Do I lose anything if I go with this fw?

3. Do you mean to say that it is able to unzip files?

4. Is there a tasmanager which can enable it to become a fully enabled smartphone? I would love to use the voice command key as a taskmanager key.

P.S. You'll have to register that forum in order to download the files.

3. Yes. Since mgx files are actually rar,zip or 7zip files. (I think I've read that it got a built-in 7zip?)

4. Yes, there's a tskmgr. But I don't know if you'll be able to use the Voice comm key to run it..............
Anyway, U9 can't run too much things at the same time. I just use tskmgr to kill FTP and screenshot xD

precisely speaking, I am more than happy with my Indian Gold Edition. I wouldnt want to spend money on this new firmware.

81.27 is a lot better than the old platform.
