Java Error

I have about 30 games installed on to my V3X. Most of them are Gameloft ones you are supposed to pay for...... you get the point.

When playing they work perfectly, softkeys work, everything. Then when you end the game and close the flip the phone will lock. All you see is the Motorola symbol on the outer screen. Then it will reset. It isn't all that annoying but I wondered why it was doing this?? Is it damaging my phone?? Should I delete the game? Any insights

Were the games installed to the TF card or the phone itself?

at the moment they are on the Transflash but I had this problem before i got my TF card.

i'm having this problem too. and i think it started also when i installed this gameloft games.... my phone starts to hang up the way he describe it.n so i need to restart the phone when it happens. i'm worried that it might damage my phone.

The thing is... just because they are 240x320 java games, they arent specifically made to work on the V3x. Some other brands have that size as well. Its just a gamble, really....some will work and some wont.

they all work when I play them, but then screw up when ending them. The place I got them from says "XXXXXX for Motos 320 X 240"
so they should be for our beloved moto. should i delete te problem games?

I had that problem too.... did a reflash and so far so good, the one game that did it and froze me phone that I didn't erase seems to work fine now....

i got that same prob. i read in another forum that it's alright coz the games we got aren't all that "legal" so to speak...so, we have to gamble on some bugs...:bowdown:

Yes I have had the same problem with some java applications. I noticed however, that the applications only crashed when I exited the them by closing the flip. Perhaps the games you guys downloaded aren't compatible with the v3x flip function!! I'm still looking for a non-flex java DAP that works properly with the flip.

I'm not prepared to have applications or games that have bugs, on my phone. After all, it's a phone, and I don't want it screwing up when I get a call. But!!....that's just me!

it might be becuase they are heavy games so they use a lot of CPU and the phone is offloadin them when you flip it closed? i had that but if i press exit or "RED" button and end then it dont do it, just lags for a few seconds
