Hi everyone, H3G is a 3G mobile network owned by Hutchison-Whampoa. I know that 3 uses that network and there may be others. So my understanding is that some firmware in your v3x is H3G specific.

I had the same problem with my phone except I had flashed an unlocked MP to my locked phone. Managed to get everything working except MMS. In the end, I got my phone re-flashed with the original 3 firmware to get my MMS working. I won't flash my phone now until it's unlocked and I know which original files I need to keep for MMS.

    Hi everyone!

So I did some more testing and finally found how to receive MMS messages! It didn't work because the phone was in GPRS Active mode. Depending on your provider, if you have this enabled (and it is by default with the H3G flex), MMS won't work. If you have an unlocked H3G firmware and want to receive MMS messages, this is what you must do:

    - Create a web session with your provider's MMS settings. You don't have to delete the locked 3 sessions.
    - Enable server info change (locked by H3G): edit seem 0032_0001, offset 0052 bit 6, set to 1.
    - Go to Messages then click Options - Setup > Message Setup, Multimedia Msg Setup, Server Info. You'll have a Current Server list. The 3 session will still be here, so delete everything (Options - Delete) until you have a blank list.
    - You can now setup MMS! Click Options - New and enter a Service Name (whatever you want), Server Name (same as web session homepage) and choose the Web Session Name you created at the beginning.
    - Depending on your provider, you might need to turn off the GPRS Always Active mode. To do that, edit seem 004a_0001, offset 10D bit 1, set to 0.

    Voila! Working MMS!

Also Acguru, to get MMS working with H3G and an unlocked MP, you probably need to enable GPRS Always Active once everything is set up: edit seem 004a_0001, offset 10D bit 1, set to 1. Untested, but should work.
