P2KTools ruined my menu!!! =(

Hey guys... new here, great site

So I installed heartless v4 and its all good and dandy; I wanted to play around with P2KTools especially to edit my menu; all I wanted to do was change the left softkey to "Shortcuts" and I hit "Set" it said I had to restart, so I did, but now all my shortcut keys are completely different AND the mainmenu is in LIST mode instead of ICONS, even when i set it to LIST and back to ICONS in settings it stays in list!!!

Do I have to reflash and angrily delete P2KTools :'(

OK, figured it out myself. P2KTools is indeed a bit funny, I will only use the file manager options from now on and use other tools to edit the files individually.

Noobie mistake aye

Well finding that the Menu Editing in P2KTools don't "stick" and they revert back to a retarded list only even when Icon Mode is enabled, and its all messed up all that, but Doing this method...

- Manual transfer of mma_ucp to PC
- Decoding it with "that program" that's apparently w@rez LOL
- Editing it with P2K Menu Editor
- Re-encoding mma_ucp back with "that program"
- Transferring back to the phone with P2KTools

...ended up working A-OK Well its late here in Australia, and the menu is still list-only and wont go back to icons but i'm sure i'll sort it out tomorrow Is it known to anyone that P2KTools causes this phail in Icon View if you use the Menu Editor??? Odd. I hope I can still use icons after I do it "clean" tomorrow... but of course i'll ask here if I have problems

Well as you can see i'm new here, so I just want to say... I've been a Symbian/S60 elitist for years, and now decided to use this V3x instead of 6630 - the hacks are so much more 'kore! And i'm looking forward to converting all the S60v2 themes I made over the years to V3x format too

Thanx for the tip. But is "that program" means "Romeo Sierra Delta Lite" if you know what I mean.

Well whoever has that problem, just replace the mma_ucp file in a/mobile/system with this one and reboot the phone.

Should be fine AND next time take backups .

help!!!!
i flashed my v3x with the heartlessmod.....
evrything went well....wonderful MP btw.....
but when i tried to do some menu editing using P2k tools and restarted my fone....
it restarted but IN a bootloader way.....
it stayed like that for a long time until it got battery empty.....
then i tried to charge it but it only shows the bootloader and says that battery low cannot continue then it turns off....and when i tried plugging it in my laptop......the blue light under the keypads that lights when charging lights STEADILY now.....
when i tried opening it....it wont open........it wont charge......the blue light just lights thats alll.....

help me please.....

charge your battery using friend's phone.. or buy imitate one.. then flash an mp again.. using motokup at slow speed.. btw please just post prblem in one thread

a little tip: never and never don't edit mma_ucp direct on phone. always do a backup (mma_ucp) into your PC and manage it (without connecting phone to PC), then upload it in your phone.
