Change the Operator's Name

can you help me change my operator's name(refer to the attachement) which is "Globe" to a customize one which is "XscriptZ"? the things that i need and how to do it..

is there a plmn_text_table.bin in our v3x to easily change my operator name???

i got this from earl bentley's guide (para madaling mo mahanap)

SEEM 0032, offset 4B, bit 6 must be set to "0"
in some cases, seem 0032, offset 02, bit 1 must be set to "0" also

First offset prior to text is the number of characters in the alpha tag, in hex
Example: "Cingular" would require "08" and "XLR8 Is Awesome" would require "0F"
Confusing? Maybe so. A little lesson for counting in hexadecimal. Forget what you learned about counting to "10" in Kindergarten; let's count to "10" in hex...00, 01, 02, 03, 04, 05, 06, 07, 08, 09, 0A, 0B, 0C, 0D, 0E, 0F, 10 (exciting, huh? wanna count to "10" in binary? 00, 01, 10 EASY!)

Second offset prior to text has something to do with the band the network uses (ie. 850/900/1800/1900) I recommend not changing it. It appears as though 01/02/03 denote 900/1800 and 04/08/0C denote 850/1900 and 05/07/09 denote all bands.

Third offset prior to text is the first two digits of the "MNC" code, reversed. Example: For a network code of 123-456, you would see "54" in this offset

Fourth offset prior to text is the last digit of the "MCC" code (digit #2 in the offset) and the last digit of the "MNC" code (digit #1 in the offset). Example: For a network code of 123-456, you would see "63" in this offset.



Check the following offset and bit in 0032_0001.seem and make sure its set to ZERO for "from phone"...offset 4B - bit 6: Alpha Tag Display (1 from SIM, 0 from phone)



If the 0032/4B/6 hack doesn't work, you may need to perform the 0032/02/1 hack to get your custom text to display.



So if I wanted to change the text from “Cingular Wireless” to” Bentley” I would require seven characters, so change the first offset prior to text to 07. Then I would change the text to “Bentley”. And remember to delete Cingular Wireless and any other carrier names that might be present. Also remember to delete leftover characters, for example changing Cingular Wireless" to "Bentley" would leave behind "r_Wireless"...delete all of those leftover characters. Hope that helps.

I hate to burst your bubbles but I as far as I know, we have not been able to make this work for the V3x.

yeh solorazr i thought so coz theres no plmn_text_table.bin on my files in my v3x.. thats why i search for a stock plmn_text_table.bin file ang edit it using openedit to change the network name then i copy it to a/mobile then i perform the seem edit to 4B and 02 but after i save it and restart my phone still the network name remain the same..

ahhhh ok I think Vxxx lan ata meron nun...
the alternative solution for that is to edit the seem 01a8 using Xvi32....

instead of date it will show your custom tag.....
