CHECK YOUR BOOTLOADER VERSION TO SEE IF IT IS COMPATIBLE WITH THE MONSTER PACK YOU ARE FLASHING IT WITH OR YOU WILL DESTROY YOUR PHONE!!!
Newbie bricking has come to a point where a huge warning like this has become necessary. Sigh... Also,
REMEMBER TO BACK UP YOUR PHONE'S CURRENT FIRMWARE BEFORE FLASHING!!!
Also do note that current flashing software only supports 32-bit windows, so if you have a 64-bit windows pc, you have to flash using a different pc which has 32-bit windows.
TO ALL NEWBIES: If you read this warning too late, please follow the steps below before posting a request for help. Although this might seem obvious, unfortunately nobody's doing it so I'm posting this guide to make everybody's life easier.
Step One
If you've flashed anything onto your phone, identify what bootloader is it intended for, and whether or not it is suited for your bootloader. If it doesn't match, proceed to step three. If you don't know what is a bootloader, read step one of my Guide For Newbies, then proceed to step three.
Step Two
If you didn't do anything major to your phone and it just stopped working, try to identify or remember what you did when it stopped, or any details, major or minor that you remember.
Step Three
Post a new thread, stating the details. Don't just say, "my phone stopped working, can anyone help me". It's dumb to expect us to help you with no information from your side. If it's a bootloader mismatch problem, then your only solution (for now) is a testpoint solution. I won't write on that because I've never done it, but some others may be able to help you. Which is why you need to post in a new thread, with all details.
INCLUDE THIS INFORMATION:
a) What bootloader is your phone using
b) What bootloader is your MP compatible with (also include your MP's name)
c) What software you used and in what order/steps you took
d) What did you do physically to your phone (including whether or not you fully charged your phone)
Alternatively, you can try reading this testpoint guide from Dr.Moto, and watch it on YouTube (search under "test point"). Please note that M3 and I are NOT responsible for the content of these guides, I have included them here for your convenience only.
Step Four
CHECK BACK YOUR THREAD every hour. Over here responses are usually given very quickly, so if you're lucky you can solve the whole thing in an hour. And don't forget to thank anyone who helped.
Easy? You bet. Still, many people do not follow these steps. Surprising. Anyway hope you follow these steps to make your recovery process a smooth and fast one. Good luck.
i figured since newbies never read my guide before flashing, or they come here after they've done the damage, this post should be the first thing they read. hope this gets stickied
