OK ... here's my suggestion..
Grab a newer MP ... I personally suggest 98.DOR MP from my site.
RSD Lite... what version?
Follow the directions here www.7900novadrive.com/v3/file/rsd.pdf

Slow Down! Be Patient! Do Your Homework!
Can you slow down and take this by the numbers? You're trying to flash a MP; you're trying to flash a language pack; you're using flash backup to try to flash your phone (Wrong).
Do one thing at a time or you're going to brick your phone. Obviously you don't know enough about flashing your phone to try everything at the same time so:
- Use RSD Lite (any version higher than 2.4 EXCEPT 2.5). Latest version out is 3.2 recently released but you have to Google for it because it is warez (sold for money) and it is illegal to post URLs for it. That's why Steve can't tell you where to find it.
The questions you're asking have been asked and answered too many times to count so review the guides and tutorials on flashing so you know what to expect, then flash the phone. If you're having connection problems, review the troubleshooting tutorials and guides on this site and my site as well. They will help you because they contain quite a bit of information written by many experienced modders.
You've got to do your homework!
Good luck,
(EDIT] Here's some advice we give to all N00bs to ensure you get the most you can out of this wonderful forum. We've found this advice to be most helpful in helping you get the answers you need without having to repeat them again, and again, and again. Most of the questions you will initially ask have probably been asked and answered numerous times (99.99% certain), so:
1. Read the forum rules regarding posting
2. Read the stickies because they contain very useful information and you don't have to search thru the forum to get these answers
3. Read the Moto Guide (http://themotoguide.com), particularly the V3x module
4. Read the V3x Personalization Guide (you can get if from any of the sites in my signature block below). It is a valuable resource of V3x modding information
5. Review the Tutorials and Guides for the most common moddingsLast edited by ebentley; 10-25-2006 at 05:43 PM. Reason: added helpful information
