The Motorola Droid 2 is apparently undergoing field testing and one lucky photographer from HowardForums managed to capture some pictures of the device. With it comes a couple of specs along with a closer look at the updated QWERTY keyboard.
Distinctly a Motorola Droid 2

The picture is purportedly the Motorola Droid 2 keyboard pictured just below the original Motorola Droid. For starters we can see that it has that extra chunk of plastic at the end (chin) which is trademark Motorola Droid. The same goes with the position of the mic and font on the keys. Furthermore there is a hint of blue plastic in the corners suggesting that the Droid 2 may feature blue accents. More on the keyboard, it now features wider protruding buttons thanks to the elimination of the D-pad. We can also see new dedicated buttons such as the voice recognition button.

The Keypad on the Droid has a D-Pad on the right side. This might soon be history as this might be replaced by Arrow keys in the Droid2.This is pretty similar to the way Nokia did similar stuff to the N97N97 and N97 Mini.

Motorola Droid 2 specs (rumored)

Along with the pictures comes a list of rumored specifications. It will feature a 3.7-inch screen with almost similar dimensions to the original Droid. Furthermore the inclusion of a dedicated voice recognition button means that it will come with Android 2.X minimum (that however doesn't need to be said).
