Motorola is considering developing a new tablet-style gadget, which could run Google's Android operating system, a company official recently disclosed.
Motorola co-CEO, Sanjay Jha was responding to questions at a convention when the subject cropped up.
The conference, an investor-motivated event in New York City, occurred on Thursday.
Jha revealed that after splurging some time discussing Motorola's concentration on Android, "nearly all" of Motorola's vigor is being used on Android these days.
The discussion moved to Motorola's proposals for mobile gadgets outside of the smartphone ring.
Jha said, "I think that a companion 7- to 10-inch device in a home will become very important, both as an augmentation to your TV experience [and] also as a way of walking around the house and streaming TV to that device".
He said that he believes that they are very focused in partaking in this meeting, which is coming between mobility and home, and he feels that people will in fact see some new products from them very soon.
The Motorola Android tablet conversation arrives together with reports that the firm has two novel high-end Droid cellphones in the development.
