K1 KZRZ, cannot change the firmware, critical error

Hi Guys,

I had a 2 years plan with Rogers Canada, expired and have no intention to renew. I got a 1 KZRZ with the plan when I signed up, now want to use the phone with another provider. I tried RSD Lite 3.2 to flash the firmware (i got from this site), but end up with a "critical error" at the end. Anyway, i think I messed up, used another firmware (R47121_G_08.01.11R) which I can see now from the RSD Lite. Any help/advice is much appreciated.

What was your firmware before, what is on it now?
If it is locked, no flash will free the subsidy lock.

I think I had the same version before, anyways, this is a K1/s version, my aplogoize for the wrong info. It's still locked (Rogers)

Ok, you said it messed up. What exactly is the problem? Flash went wrong, or phone doesn't start, or else?

I also have a problem in flashing any Mp to my phone, after numerous attempts of making a hard TP (due to white screen), I've finally have it to S Blank neptune lte2. but it seems that's more a part of the problem. In ram loader I've followed the remove rsa guide to the letter and once I try to flash any rsa removed Mp with FB3 and its all good UNTIL it says "Erasing memory". That's the point where everything fails. The screen shows Error DEA1. It stays in blank mode no matter which buttons I hold during putting battery in. In a couple of attempts at flashing an MP I've seen the charger light come on once FB3 disconnects. I've even loaded PDS to rule out that problem. Does the Hard TP more or less "wipe the "wipe the slate clean" to erase everything off the phone for a fresh start? I've done at least 5 hard tps so far only because I don't want this to beat me (stubborn I guess). I've read in here that its impossible to brick a K1, I think I might have succeeded in doing just that.

have you tried to remove RSA not by using TP?
i had this problem ( DEA1 ) just 3 days ago..i removed RSA by rodrigocastrillion tutorial and now everything is fine,but yes,now i just can't change my MP..anyway..hope it helped..after removed rsa,download a norsa mp (jo#$ perfect mp,rodrigocastrillon norsa mp)..there are much of them..
