New to K1- both screens blank but phone works

Hi. I bought two used K1's just to play around with. One of them works kinda-
the screens light up but show nothing. The other phone, the guy said was just for "parts". Any ideas on what could be causing the inner screen to just light up? The charge light and earpiece works also.

Update: I swapped the screens from the other phone and same thing. I could get into bootloader mode - so I backed it up and re-flashed it (to InsecureSpike's Blue is for Boys) - but still doesn't show anything on the screens.

Please - any ideas? Could it be the graphics chip?

Update #2: I swapped the flex cable from the phone that was for "parts". It now works. Although the other flex cable doesn't look so wholesome - but it seems to be ok - so far.

U could have tried to use skins manager to change the skin because the skin that u r using maybe corrupted.
