Unlock K1/Z3 without TP

It's a really weird problem, because I just tried doing that. Unplugged my phone, hit Unlock.. and plugged it back in.

It still says "No flash mode detected" and it didn't seem to work at all.

So to verify, I turned on the phone back in normal mode, and went to "Read Info" and it still gives me Simlock State: Locked.

When I hit unlock I always get the Wait for task "Unlock Handset" terminated.

I apologize the heavy newbiness, am I supposed to load perhaps another file or something? I'm using MS Tool 8 and when it starts it says "Free" if that helps at alll.

Thing is, in the folder that I downloaded of MSTool, there is two files "mstool_8r" which is 8MB and the load_it! file which is just around 25kb. I always use the load_it! file because the other one doesn't seem to open up. It just says "Unlocking" or something, and closes out.

try following the whole guide again. or if you have dualboot just put your phone in blank and be prepared for a lot of plugging and unpluging, it can be tricky sometimes

Hey guys...i'm kind of new to this. Took a 2 days to read thru this forum. Just a quick question..my cell is KRZR K1 with S/W R47121_G_08.01.11R...i'm sure this is version is not moddable yet...correct me if i'm wrong..thanks.

Yes you are correct this phone is not moddable at the moment. Although if a modder actualyl had one they would start getting us the info.

Hello!

I have a Z3 RSA Removed with the Absolute Zero Mp (FW R452H6, Stock PDS, etc), and i tried the: "put your z3 in Soft TP (*+PowerButton) and click Unlock in MSTool8... but after.. dont know.. 20 times... i get the same message... Subsidy Code blablabla .

Anyone can help me >_>? I dont know if i am doing something wrong.. or my cellphone have a permanent subsidy code lock... Please Help

KRZR k1 was locked to Rogers...

worked like any functional analogy one cares to invoke...

This guide was just re-translated and posted on m3 by me, The works here are still of the Original Poster.

You will need: -
MS Tool (Google it, it's warez)
K1/Z3 boot core( I will put a download link up shortly)

Here are the quick steps for this tutorial.

1. Open up MS tool and select your phone profile (K1 or Z3.
2. Connect phone in bootloader mode usiung the *+# + power on method
3. Select "Read backup" and choose PDS
*Note if your phone gets a critical error message here please do not use the rest of this tutorial.

If the backup was done without any error this means that the phone is compatible with the tutorial as mstool can read data from the RAMDLD and can write the bootloader and read the PDS!

Now only proceed if everything is okay: battery fully charged without sim card and memory card.


Let's continue :-

4. Conect phone in bootloader mode "*" + "#" + "power";
5. Open mstool and click in "Write Backup"
6. Select the file "K1__BOOTCORE_TP.bkp" for K1 or "Z3__BOOTCORE_TP.bkp" for Z3;
7. OK. After your phone shuts down automatically, remove the battery and replace the battery. The phone will be recognized by the PC. To see if everything is okay, open RSDLite and make sure it detected "S BLANK NEPTUNE LTE2"... If it is, everything is ok! The phone screen is black! This is OK.
8. Now open mstool and click "unlock". Wait for the phone being disconnected, remove the battery and replace the battery again;
9. In mstool click "Write Backup";
10. Select bootloader 0A.B2 for k1 and 0A.C0 for Z3;

Been reading around a lot, but would appreciate some simple clarification before I go out and buy a network locked phone.
This guide will allow me to use other networks, correct?
I also can't do this if the firmware is R47121, right?

Yup that's right, can't use it with R47121 and it will aloow you to use other networks.

My K1 won't even connect, which is unfortunate as it took a while to find MS Tool and get the downloaded program I found to actually work. The program starts up and looks to be in working order but when I click on Read Backup, I get a message that says, "No flash mode detected, Please switch on handset". I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or not but I didn't get an error in Bootloader Mode:
