Any chance to flash my red K1?

I've just received my new K1 (Red) from Fido Canada and here are the information:
Bootloader Version: 0D.C0
Software version: R47121_G_08.01.11R
Trklchrg: Enbld
I was trying to flash the phone using the Flash and Backup, but received a "Critical Mesaage".
May I know is there any chance I could using software to unlock and flash the phone? Right now, the phone has an excessive features relevant to accessing the Fido internet, which really annoyed me since the data packages here are sooooo expensive, also, there are too few other features that I would love to have.

So I guess the answer is none then, well, hopefully someone could have the flash soon because I am really tired of seeing all the stupid applications from Rogers/Fido....

Get it replaced under warranty with a different f/w would be that fastest and best option I would recommend.

Can't you just force the phone to install one of the flashable firmwares and toy with the RSA then? I have the same phone, a Red KRZR K1 from Rogers Canada.

Perform a hard testpoint.

There's a guide on how to do that in the Sticky list.

You could try it, as far as I know, you'd be the first to . You would be doing a great favour to all other people on that fw if you did regardless of if it works.

- Please let us know somewhere if phone is to be in data mode; yes, kind of a no brainer when you said: "Phone tools should work now.", but still...
Just got K1 on Feb.27, new.

other info:
1) Kept rebooting on me while doing the setup stuff; they sent me a replacement.
2) Contacts/Options/Setup/Sort order:
- must select Mixed even if it is already on mixed so that you can: Spell a name to select contact to call faster.
-- stroke sequence, they think, will be a new feature. (took me 2 weeks to figure out problem with not being able to spell-through contact list. Yes, I now hate motorola!)
