Motorola and UIQ 3.1

Seeing that Motorola have a nightmare, on their hands wrt the RIZR Z8 and Z10, why don`t the powers that be provide us with the neccessary software and firmware for the said phones so that at least we can derive some pleasure playing and modding. I know they monitor this site, and others so let`s see if we can illicit some response. I believe they don`t care and their prognosis for the future is probably closure if they don`t address their client reasonable requests. Motorola made a serious error in using UIQ as they did and us the so called valued clients pay for this?? In the nearby future I will probably use the phone as a paper weight as a constant reminder not to purchase anything Motorola!!!

i have a z8 it freezes everyday. i like the it but this will more than likly be my last motorola

same here....i think its time to move on....Im leaning towards the Nokia 5800 or might just wait it out for the G2 or Samsung's attempt at android!!!!

I know this is a noob question or comment but, since these are smart phones, couldn't they just refit them with let's say windows mobile?
They'd probably change some hardware to make us unable to re-flash the ones we currently own... But couldn't it be possible for them to fit that OS in there and re-release them?
I haven't found any info so far on this site about how to play around in firmwares like foxmod does... Call me blind, but i'd like to see if i can make a diff monster pack for a Z10 using the swisscom and the 2 motorola stock ones that came out... (Chinese and Russian).
Maybe load the LPs form foxmods last MP for the Z8 if that's possible.
Can someone point me in the correct direction about this?

The software designed for the phone does not work at all well . Wow to install a diff OS is an ambitious task!!!
Impossible
