Hi. I have try to upgrade the firmware of my z8 because it has problem with the firmware and making restart and restard and not starting. When i have try to update i have start the phone with *# and power. When i have press the button to start the update after 6-7 seconds in rsd lite has write to me that the update is failed. Now the phone is not opened. I press the power button but do nothing. Do you know what can i must do to fix this problem? Thank you

EDIT: Ok the phone work with *# in boot menu. When i connect it in pc and start the flashing it is close after few seconds. Do anybody know why? I have leave it for charging all the night but the green light was closed. Any solution please? and sorry for my english

What are the details of the flash you tried to install?

Hi there!

Seems like you have the same problem i had...

You get the boot loader and then.... it goes off.

Keep in mind that what i'm going to tell you isn't the "Cure for cancer" of Z8's problems but it might help. It worked great with me...

Some basics first:

The Z8 doesn´t charge while in boot loader.
You HAVE to use a fully charged battery, otherwise... well, you got the picture.

So, my Z8 crashed the same way yours did.
Keeping in mind the first two sentences, I realized the problem was the battery itself.
I grabbed a BC50 battery from my Z3 (fully charged of course) and got the job done.
My advice for you is to get a fully charged battery from a Z8 or a Z3 as they are compatible.

If you can't turn the phone on, do as i did:
Ask someone to press 1,3 and power or *,# and power while you gently slide the battery in. In the phone, of course.

Ps: My best guess is that your battery is totaly flat, meaning it's not charging...
