Think I screwed up my phone pretty bad...

Hi guys... I came across this site today and thought I'd try out that Moto Mixture Reloaded pack thing on my rogers l2. I got rsd lite 2.7 and some p2k drivers for a motorola v3 which I figured should be just as good. Any way after doing the flash the rsd program showed errors then disconnected the phone so i unplugged it then turned it off and back on... the screen just stays black now. :eek: I then reconnected it and rsd lite shows this info:

just wait for the answr by SJ.. uhm, did u back your CG1, 2 etc.? before you flash the moto mixture?

L2? It's for L6 not L2.

All you have to do is choose another MP (in case you didn't backup), then flash.

L6 and L2 use the same firmwares

It's allright! Just turn on your phone! Read the tip below the MP. In some cases u may get that with RSD Lite. Flash it with FB3, available here. It should go pretty smoothly with FB3. Btw make sure u choose active phone profile: L6.

L2 and L6 dont use the same firmware !!!

I tried putting L2 software on my L6 just to see what happens, and you get no screen display.

You need to reflash the phone with an L2 monsterpack !!!

Yeah, just figured that out in a other post. The do use the same firmware! But they use different Flex! Soon we'll have a unlocked L2 firmware/flex. By tomorow I think!

Hi again, thanks for all the replies guys. I tried that flash&back3 program using the l6 profile with the motomixture reloaded pack and also that unlocked fido pack for the l2 since using an l2 specific file was mentioned. It's still the same problem with the motomixture pack but a different problem with that fido pack, in which the display does work but it's a black screen with small white characters like when it's being flashed. It says:

My L2 is locked to a Canadian cell phone company called Rogers and when I start up with the motomixture pack installed it still plays their start up tune, but no display, I haven't tried making calls though. With the fido unlocked l2 pack installed it just goes straight to that error screen. I was hoping installing one of the packs would unlock my phone. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

dont know too much about that error screen ur gettin, but flashing an unlocked pack will not unlock ur phone. Hope someone can help u with the error tho.

well, I got my phone working again by using this file:

The original firmware was much better though....

For instance the letters when using the keys don't match up to what's on the keys themselves, at least the numbers do though.

I really though that flashing the firmware would unlock the phone as well, so I guess it was all for nothing Will this ever be possible?

Also I was wondering if anyone would happen to have an L2 on Rogers as well and if they would be willing to maybe send me their stock firmware. I would be most appreciative. Thank you

Hey there! Nice that you got ur phone all fixed up. Always back up your phone before modding my friend. The only way to unlock an L2 is by testpoint, which is a very complicated process which involves mechanical knowledge.

Thanks for helping me, I really appreciate it :smile: It's too bad about not being able to unlock these phones easily. I think next time I'm able to, go I'll go into a Rogers store and ask if they can get me the stock flash files or if I can maybe bring in a laptop and get it off a boxed unit :biggerGrin: Hopefully someone will let me, better still would be if someone on this forum is on Rogers and could give me one of their backups. I think I'll start a separate thread asking for it, never know The reason I didn't backup is because I didn't know about FB3 and rsd lite didn't seem to have that functionality, so I took the (stupid) chance. Probably should have waited until after asking in the forums first Thanks again!
