emergency only

I own a L6
I am having problems with its network connectivity. Most of the time it says that 'Emergency only' and other times i get a weak signal. The problem is with the phone because when i transfer the sim to other phone i get a FULL signal.

Any ideas?

I'm having the same problem. My L6 is an unlocked Cingular phone and I'm trying to use it with a T-Mobile SIM. My phone definitely is quad band now though so not sure the reason other than possibly just poor reception?
