black screen on l6

hey ppl. i'm having problems with my l6. was working perfectly now i have black screen. tried flashing but no luck. can any1 help.

just take out the battery and put it in again........
did u do any flashing.

screen connection may be disconnected - or the screen may be damaged - can you get into bootloader mode and see the screen then ??

I took out the battery. i reflashed 2 times. same problem cant see the boot loader screen. but i can make and recv calls. any ideas?? could the contacts need cleanin??

it probably requires cleaning but if you've never disassembled your phone or dropped your phone before then there is a possibility that your LCD is dead...if you had dropped it before then there's a possibility that the contacts are just loose...anyway, try to disassemble it, clean the contacts and re-assemble it...if that doesn't work then your screen is definitely damaged and has to be replaced...FYI in Indonesia an L6 screen costs about 100000 IDR, which is about 10 US$...

no the phone is not on warranty. and it probably fell with my girl.

and if ur from india then i will suggest there r many mobileshop on roads just try der..
they might do the repairing at cheap price

does the screen light up when you switch the phone on??

I broke the screen on one of my phones and when i replaced it it did not appear to work. I found that one of the chips also gets loose (and unless your good at SMD work you wont be able to solder it yourself). I have a piece of paper wedged between the chip and the back case and this keeps the screen working !!!

Unless you can live with this sort of modd then you will need a service center to fix it - sorry !!

Service center will take a mere 500 Rs. here in India, so its better to try that. Don't risk it anywhere else, if ur phone craps due to their fault, then u can't quarrel.

well i dont live in india. i live in trinidad west indies screen cost $300 here but i'm gonna try the reepair my self.

and its gonna cost lots to repair so either way i'll have to do it.

just wondering...if the screen costs 300$ there then the exchange rate there is 1US$ = ??$...aw...nevermind i was just wondering about the difference of the price of spare-parts internationally...
