Section – 1 :Creating profile for MAE6 (MMA Advanced Editor v0.6)

To function correctly, it is advised to create a profile for the phone model.

Steps ::

1. Using Flash&Backup 3.0.6, create a CG1 backup in SMG format.

2. When MAE6 is started for the first time, it will load with the Default profile.




3. Press the drop-down box.




MAE6 will read the CG1 and create a profile.



Section – 2 : Adding Menu items

Part -1 :- Adding items to main menu

Steps ::

1. Goto File and select where to open the mma_ucp from : phone or external file.

2. After the menu loads, expand Menu Root.

3. Click on the menu item before/after/inside which the new menu item is to be inserted.

4. Goto Available mma items on the right. Select the new menu item from the drop-down box.

5. Select Add Item.






Part -2 :- Adding items to sub-menu

Steps ::

1. Follow Steps:: 1 to 4 from Part -1.

2. Select Add subitem.



Note -: Any menu item can be deleted by right-clicking and selecting Delete item.




Section – 3 : Modifying Menu items

Part -1 :- Change menu caption of a menu item.

For example, rename menu item ‘Sounds’ to ‘Music’.

Note: Custom titles are not supported by all LP(Language Packs).


Step ::

1. Right-click on Sounds and select Modify Item.





Similar procedure for assigning custom title to a soft key item.



Part -2 :- Replacing menu icon with image located in file system/DRM

Scenario – 1 : Image located in file system

Steps ::

1. Make three copies of the image of size 48x48(animated), 33x33 and 16x16.

2. Right-click on the menu item and select Modify Item.

3. Upload these three images to a/ or c/ using any p2k file manager.

4. Select FS as the Source





5. In Picture Picker, navigate to the location where earlier the image was stored. Select the image and press OK.





6. Follow the same procedure for other two icons.



Scenario – 2 : Image located in DRM

The DRM file should be in SMG format.

Steps::

1. Select DRM as the Source and press the flower button.

2. Select the CG15.smg file.

3. Choose the icon from DRM Icon Picker.





4. Similar steps for the other two icons.




Section – 4 : Changing function of menu item

Part -1 :- Assigning menu item to a URL link

Steps::

1. Right-click on the menu item and select Modify Item.

2. Select Function tab from Item properties window.

3. Select URL Link from the Item function drop-down box at the bottom.






Part -2 :- Assigning menu item to an Application

Steps::

1. Follow Steps:: 1 and 2 from Part-1 above.

2. Select Application Start from the Item function drop-down box at the bottom.

3. Select the application from the Select installed drop-down box.




Note:- MAE6 reads the application details from the jad file. So if you are manually entering details, get it from the jad file.

great tutor.but i even do that be4 i know it!but great!adding some info.sometimes if u modify icon to app start it will be restart firstly.i it can work properly.because in my Molo3.ive turn drm to very speed.thanks

does this work on the L6?
i tried creating a profile but it says profile creation failed...!
but it can detect the L6 when connected !
