I cannot seem edit the seems, no pun intended, p2k commander can't edit the mp3 ringtone seem. Any suggestions.

use xvi32. its way better than p2k.

Is there any tutorial for this? I need to download the seems from my phone and need to like re upload them right? I have no I dead how to do any of this?

I use P2Ktools_VS to download and upload the SEEMS from my V3XXR and XVI32 to edit them. I couldn't get P2K Commander to work at all.

P2Ktools_VS lists my phone as connected. However, when I request I file list, it comes up blank.

p2kman refuses to work for me, giving me this when I press 'list files'
Receiving file list...USB: IO Time-out!
CMD: Data write fail!
Fail!

RSD Lite Recognizes my phone and here are the details:

I just want mp3 ringtones lol.

I got p2k Tools VS to fully recognize my phone. Can anyone tell me how to enable mp3 ringtones from here?

I dont think there is a seem to enable mp3 ringtones. There are 2 factors that do decide if you can use mp3 as a ringtone.

1. Max File size: 600kb
2. Bitrate: Less than 192 kbps. I use 64 kbps for my ringtones.

See if that works.

Enable use MP3 for Ringtones(Apply As):
Seem edit 004e_0001 offsets 920, 921, 922, 923- set all the offset values to FF.

P2K Commander to copy seems to your PC, XVI32 to edit seems, P2K Commander again to copy the modified seem back to your phone.

Maybe you should visit the Guides Section. At the top of this page under the MODMYMOTO logo, click "Guides", on the Guides home page scroll to the bottom to where it says "Where can I find the old guides section" click the words "Right Here". Then click the link "SEEM Editing".

Did not work for V3xxR_J sw R272311 did seem edit but did not let me have full MP3 songs as ringtone like it did with my V3xx MLD

Yeah, The only MP3's that I can use as ringtones are the ones that I cropped to 30 seconds or less using MPT melody studio. It's a real bummer that there seems to be very little modding that can be done to this phone.
