Connect P2K w/Razr V3xxR_j
OK, I've got all the way to p2k tools with a green light showing "connected". Problem is I can't see any of the files, seems, etc. Did a full backup with FB3, RSDlite connected & running, P2K Tools connected & running. I've read through a bunch of threads here & motoxtreme, can't seem to find what I'm doing wrong, zedbra, where are you ? LOL.
Any help guys ?
Hope I posted in proper forum
Thanks

yah , i never liked Vista either

p2k Commander doesnt need to be installed, simply un-RAR the download and double click the p2k Commander app icon. as i mentioned before, you may need to have RSDlite running first to put phone into p2k mode. then run Commander. it should read the phone quickly. once phone is connected click on the drop-down menu on upper left. choose /A p2k phone system, or p2k phone SEEM to find what youre looking for
the correct version can be downloaded HERE

Thanks zedbra, give it a shot when I get home. Pretty sure I have that version of P2K but I downloaded again anyway.
Let ya know how it goes.
Thanks again.
Well, still can't pull up files/seems. I show connected but can't view anything. Think I've tried everything unless someone has another suggestion.
My XP may be down for the count, fried motherboard. That's going to really piss me off.
Finally got my phone flashed. Love the monster pack & finally rid of all that AT&T crapware. Only small issue I have is the fonts. Would love to change but still can't connect with the 4 different P2k versions, P2kTools, Commander, nothing. So guess I'll just keep playing with them. Also the hardware key for the internet defaults to messaging. Shame there's not more firmware out there for this phone. Oh well, definitely much better now.
Any other suggestions for tweaking would be appreciated.
Thanks for all the help.Last edited by crz6662; 02-21-2011 at 08:14 AM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

you can flash different fonts with F&B. find one in the downloads section for v3xxR_j or im pretty sure the CG4 for v3xxR is also compatible with the _j phone.
you can re-map the browser key back to default with a SEEM edit. read through THIS Guide for some info about different mods. the only mods that may be different for your phone are the custom bootscreen mods. most others in the guide should work fine
which MP did you flash anyway??

Like this one very much.
Never thought about F&B for editing. Will definitely give that a try. Been concentrating so hard on trying to get one of the P2K's working, it didn't register, It says "Flash" & Backup, LOL
I've seen the guide you suggest and I'll do a re-read.
I do still have that out of memory issue though, even with the new firmware. Out of memory w/30 Apps/Games installed on "SD Card". Download location is set to Memory Card, free-847 MB, used 121 MB, Total-968 MB.
Phone-free 48.4 MB, used-1.92 MB, Total-50.3 MB.
Format: Fat 32
Any ideas on that ? Think I should reformat ?
Thanks....

no need to format, not sure why you're getting the low mem msg. all i can suggest is upping to 4GB Micro SDHC.
maybe try running the phone without mem card to see if the low memory msg disappears, if it does you'll know the problem lies there

Attempted to use an 8GB & a 4GB card and neither would load, unable to view music/java apps. One of the reasons I asked what file format the phone used. I used a card reader to transfer everything, so next I'll install the card to the phone & then attempt the transfer. See if that works. Course the only benefit will be more music, since I still can't install more than approx 30 java apps & then I get out of memory message. No ideal why that would be.

format the card in the phone. you can add music via card reader, but sometimes it takes a few minutes for the phone to read the new files.
i have only two apps on my phone, never had this problem myself.
even if you load the apps onto SD card, when they're instsalled it uses phone memory. the phone probably requires a minimum amount of free memory to run efficient.
there are files which can be deleted off the phone to free up some space.... if you can get p2k commander to work.LOL
