Youtube on V3xxR

So... I got my hands on another V3xx (This will make my 4th) and instead of flashing it with everything from another one, I decided to mod it.

So, it has the newer opera browser (8.6, where my other phone has 8.0) and the newer bootloader (7.0 vs 3.08)

So, WTF is up with Youtube? Works fine, can watch all my Foamy on the older software, but not the newer one? Overall the new software on this phone seems to be a bit snappier, tho the flashing purple "H" icon doesn't appear to be there to show high speed data RX/TX.

Oh, the error? File type not recognized.

Very annoying. Any ideas? Both phones seem to be identical hardware, tough, the gunmetal grey versions.

Just kinda odd that the newer software doen't know what to do with the flv files... assuming that youtube uses that format for their mobile site.

I'm guessing they want people to only use the "cellular video" site, instead of youtube, which the content really sucks on.

no real suggestions, Opera mini should have no problem with Youtube.
you could check the p2k05 SEEM Map for options that may help
never tried youtube on my old phone

edit: i tried youtube on my phone and it worked fine with the stock browser

What version is your browser? Mine's 8.6, and this is the latest firmware for the v3xxR. My older V3xx works fine, but I'll look thru the seems to see if I can find anything, really annoying.

I'm thinking it may not be the version of opera doing it. The "media player" that plays the videos may be it. Does anyone know what file that program is on the phone? Not sure if it's something that I can just copy over one from the V3xx to the R, but it'd be something to try.

I'm assuming other people's R's don't have the red light next to the camera, either (just a way to tell them apart from the outside).
