Can someone tell me what the hell this icon means?
And what does it mean when it changes? Does it just have two states, or does it have more?

It's for GPRS Data Packet, it changes while these cases :
1. GPRS Data Packet Available
2. GPRS Data Packet Receiving
3. GPRS Data Packet Transmitting
Also there is EDGE Data Packet Available with them.

that icon tell you that there is gprs packet available and you can connect to internet. . . or sending mms .
