Anybody ever had this problem
So I opened a Z3 DRM in Drm port and replaced some icons with ones of the same size and format, then recompiled. flashed the new drm to the phone and now just a flashing white screen. I can get to bootloader mode and flash a stock drm same thing, I also flashed a full backup(all code groups) still same thing. any clues? thanks

Flash a full flash (stock fw), then flash your backup.

ive had the same thing happen to me once with my L72 (aka L9) the only thing i could figure is that it wasnt recompiled right (perhaps checked with SHXcodec before flashing?) or i didnt do something right!
probably the latter...

yeah i got it working after posting this i had to flash a full stock mp to get it back strange how thats works and a modded mp won't do it.
wonder should I split the cg15 in sbf recalc then edit it and recalc it. might not even work, but i guess it couldn't hurt.

What was the procedure you used last time?

Devices available:
HTC Hero|Recovery: ClockworkMod|Rom: Hero-Deck 2.3.7 by Bharat_goku Fastest and most stable (for me anyway) AOSP GB Rom
Sony Ericsson Xperia X8|Recovery: ClockworkMod|Rom: GingerDX V020
ZTE Race|Recovery: ClockworkMod|Rom: CyanogenMod 7
Samsung Galaxy S i9000| Recovery: ClockworkMod|Rom: OneCosmic's ICS Port RC3.1

sounds to me like the recompiled cg15 had a larger overall filesize than before you changed those icons. whenever your going to mod your drm you should load it into fb3 to see the filesize, do your changes and load the new one into fb3 to see filesize before flashing. if it is a larger file then you have to open the drm back up with drm port and find some icons you dont need and make them white or tranparent. this will reduce the overall filesize. after sufficient "lightening" you should be able to flash new drm with no problems. 2,621,440 bytes is the size of the stock drm (for Z3). if you ever try to flash a drm larger than that you'll get a brick, but it should be easily reversed by flashing your backup cg15 or full mp.

I mean how did you edit the drm icons?

Ok, its all described in that guide. No need to mention it again.
You may find a much simpler process to do DRM editing, if u want to change just few icons.
i.e use SHX Codec
open the DRM by SHX codec> Click Split > double click on CG15 > parse
now replace the icons you want and save
then recalc checksum by SBF and flash it to your phone.

Splitting drm using SHX codecfor Z3/k1 is not a good idea. It completely screws up the checksums, what I would use is 3g drm tool, much easier in my opinion

I agree, 3d drm tool does its job very well and simple.
