Buuf DRM by Paule - ported to Z3 by me

Credits to Paule for this cool DRM, nice job. (Original Thread here)

DRM for Z3, K1, L7e/i (R452H6 compatible)

All Buuf Icons that could be used, were used. Remaining Icons are from MotoMagX DRM. Also included are icons in a separate folder so anyone may port to other 176x220 models. sms/vm icons slightly edited for 176x220 models.

I included the drm icons so that anyone may port. You can do it with 3g drm tool, just backup your drm, extract gifs from your CG15.smg file, replace images in gif folder with these, then create drm. Pretty straightforward.

now im gung-ho, and im gonna start porting like crazy!

okay, i have a ques, sublime. the CG that is in this post, its in shx. i conv it to smg with fb3, and 3gdrm cant read it.
anything wrong im doing?

can i use any icons from any phone model?
wont the dimensions be different?

1. After saving it as smg with FB3, rename the file to end with CG15.smg. That way, 3gDRMTool can read the file.

Example:

Old: "1 CG15 (0x115E0000).smg" rename to "1 (0x115E0000) CG15.smg"

2. Some icons have to be renamed and/or resized for other 176x220 phones. Like for Z3 we have different alarm clock paths on different software versions. So you may or may not have to do that. Best way is to look for a DRM map for L9. That's if you are porting from another 176x220. If you are porting from 240x320 then you will need to rename as well as resize all the images you wish to port.

u knw, i extracted the gifs from this DRM, made a cg15 for L9, and it worked, except for a few niggles, like improper BG in a few icons, and wrinkly icons..

also, since ZKL are cousins, will the icons from one cousin DRM, work wid another?

I know Z3, K1, L7e/i drms are all compatible, but I'm not sure about L9. You may have to port drms to L9, again, not sure. As far as quality of the gifs, you can try resizing and renaming the originals (see original thread) and maybe they will come out better.
