Need v9x FW

I uploaded a new mma_ucp file to my phone which seemed to brick it.

Does anyone have an original v9x (NOT v9) flash backup they can send?

Not yet - still unsuccessful getting it. V9x has not moddable menu.

Only through hex editor when you know what to do (no guides/maps for that, you just have to know it - the menu items are pretty visible there though)

If it isn't too hard....if it is, do we have hopes of an GUI editor coming along anytime soon?

It seems to me you can edit it with MMA ADVANCED EDITOR 06 (in download section).
Before you do so, back your CG2 up! In only may work. Please confirm this.

And by the way, I can't do that either by hex, I just know function of some bits.

V9x firmware is avaiable in the link in my sig.

MMA Advanced editor 06 will not open it, it crashes with the v9x mma_ucp trying to open it.

What is interesting is that P2K Commander CAN open it, not sure if it will work tho
I've attached a test of the mma_ucp file, if you can test it on your v9x and tell me if it works please?

And GRRRRR...I wish there was some solution for us who can't do major hex editing

I agree Chrisf8657. I wish there was an easier way to mod this thing other than hex. I could learn hex, but I dont have enough time in my daily life to do so. If anyone actually finds success in modding the v9x, let me know. I am not brave enough to try to mod it. Seems everyone keeps bricking theirs, and with no backup in sight.

Read the Before you Mod guide. You can only open the V9 mma_ucp from PC file. Download mma_ucp to PC using P2K Commander, open the downloaded file in MMA Advanced editor, save it to PC, then upload it using P2K commander to your phone and restart your phone. Take a backup of your CG2 before. If you will get a blinking screen backlight when you restart your phone then pull out the battery for several seconds and turn the phone on only to bootloader mode. Then flash back your backed up CG2 and everything is as it was.

Where did you hear that? I was unsuccessful editing the Menus with MMA Advanced editor 06. It would not allow me to do anything.

MMA Advanced Editor works on the V9, but NOT the V9x.
P2K Commander v9 will open the v9x mma_ucp file, but I don't know if the edited one will work - if someone could test the file I posted above as I don't have a working v9x atm.

My assupmtions were wrong. So now it is 100% that mma_ucp is immodable on V9x like on NEWER WCDMA2100 V9s. Editing is only possible with hex editor then. In the before you mod guide you can unlock softkeys. Hopefully soon there be an updated menu editor for these new mma files.

I've got my V9x and edited the mma_ucp to show the soft key so it's modable So I'd try it if someone had a list of addresses and what they did at each setting.

I've tried the menu editor way and it's a no-go. I have my phone backed up altready with F&B3 so no worry there.
