Hi New to this Forum but thought I would ask a question you may be able to answer please? When I check my phone status it shows - Memory Card (8GB) 7.31GB free and my Phone 1.54MB free (48.8MB Used). I have just purchased this phone so how come the phone memory is so full? I haven't downloaded any skins or anything like that. Also my phone is branded Telstra and I wanted to know if there was anyway of removing their branding icons, etc.
S.W Version is R2633121ER_U_9E.03.28R
DSP Version 53300000. Also does anyone know where I can get some really good wallpapers for this phone?
Sorry for all the questions but I am keen to learn.
Thanks!! I am from Oz
The size of memory card is normal. Producents of cards gives information of size in other system. Phones and computers recognize less capacity of memory.
If You want to increas Your mobile memory, just format it throught settings (settings>initial settings>master clear).
If You want to debrand Your mobile, just flash CG2 group from other firmware.
Hi and thanks for your reply. I have already master reset the phone but it is still showing the same numbers as in my first post.
I would like to debrand but I am new - and really don't have the skills to do this without step by step instructions - and I realise this would be time consuming for anyone to do.
I tried the link to Wallpapers but it wouldn't connect??
Thanks again for your help anyway.
Memory card capacity appears to be less because the software (and this is true for all memory cards and hard drives) calculates the capacity using a binary (base 2) system. Bytes are calculated as 8 bits. Hard drive and memory card manufacturers measure capacity using the metric system (base 10). With that system, bytes are calculated as 10 bits. Thus 8 GB (8 billion bytes) becomes 7.31 GB (same amount of storage, just a different calculation method).
