[Guide] How to set up a proper IRC client.
How to set up a proper IRC client
By kn100
FOR USERS ALREADY USING IRC:
Network is irc.moofspeak.net,
channel #modmymobile
Note: I am only recommending one IRC client here, frankly because IMHO it is the best one, but if you want to write a guide that covers your own irc client (would love one for irsii btw) then i'll add it here.
What you need
>If you are using Windows:
>If you are using Ubuntu/Debian
>>Open a terminal, type "sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install xchat
THE GUIDE!
1. Install xChat. It's just like installing any other program.
2. Once you have installed it, open it if it is not already open, and you should be presented with a network list like this:

In the Nick box, place whatever nick you like.
3. Click add, and give it a name. I suggest something like m3, but it doesn't really matter.
3. After you have given it a name, click edit. You will be presented with this screen.

4. Now, input the options as shown in the below screenshot.
(Server: irc.moofspeak.net channel #modmymobile)

5. Hit close, and then hit connect. If you did everything right, it should connect to the channel.
IRC TIP: Type the first few characters of a persons name and then hit tab. It will autocomplete it for you. When you type someones nick, it makes that message light up on their screen.
