Q: My K3 runs LP 0055. I've found some LP 0055 from V9 ph. Since both are LP 0055, can I use the V9 LP 0055 on my K3??

Deifintive 'yes' or 'no' please...

Hi Sem, you made/ported?? the current DRM I'm using... (DRM doesnt require correct BL??)

Do you own a K3?? If so... can you help regarding getting LP 0055 for my ph?? All I require is one working CG4 and then I can mod to my hearts content...

i.e. making fonts...

Q-2: Why does DRM supply main menu etc. icons on K3?? Is there seem edit to change this?? (yep, my ph takes all icons from DRM)

Q-3: Know of any skins (tested & working) for K3??

Sorry for medley of Q: in one place, but info on phone is sketchy @ best... and it seems I'm the only one on the planet w/ 3.90 BL!?

King_Rat. You have a full stock flash i sent you. I personally requested if daywalker had it. He gave it to me & it is your K3 backup.

Open up F&B go to firmwares tab> Slect flashfile and open the K3 full flash with it. Delete every codegroup except. CG4 & the ramdld. Save it in either SBF or SHX > Name it to whatever (K3 LP 0055). Then start modding a font.

2) The icons come from the DRM there is NO seem edit to change this. This will only happen if you use Stock skins the icons from the drm will show. Also when you change to a skin with different icons depending on what drm your using at the time the following menu icons will come from the drm. Aeroplane Mod, World Clock, Media Finder. and a couple other will need to get replaced in the DRM your using with that skin.

For skins check out the 240x320 skin section. You can install them but just dont install the cli.ski file if its not for you phone model. No Semseddin doesnt have a K3 he was just good Moddler to port one of his DRMS to K3.

If that firmware is same version with the one you have right now, then it uses the same bootloader. Don't worry. K3 is an easy phone to mod, check V6 Super thread here. Almost all seems edits are identical between both phones.

ok... so now that I have a working backup... and I want to change my font...

Can I take any LP for R261171LD type S/W?? (maxx or K3)... and as long as I change out the RAM DL... I will be able to use this new LP on my R261171LD - K3??

Is this correct or are there other pitfalls to consider??

Will this work for Multi-font??

Can I interchange between Multi-font and a single font LP (by changing RAM DL)??

Maxx and K3 CG4 might be interchangable as long as you changed Ramloader. However i don't suggest to do like that. Simply extract the ttf file from your fave font flash and use SBF-Recalc and 3G Font tool to port them based on your K3 LP0055. Follow this quick and simple guide.
