Sure edit your menu using p2k Menu Editor and give them a custom name. You cannot however set them to ALWAYS be upper or lower case, in other words, if the end user changes the soft key items, they will go back to all caps or whatever case they are in for that menu item.
How about using this? Language Editor : Use this software to create a dnp.pnf file that goes in your /a directory of the phone. This allows you to have custom text for anything that is in your LP. Change anything that your phone displays (text only). example original text: Charge Complete new text: Yo, I'm Charged.
That is a cool program, too, but doesn't solve the issue of always having the soft keys be in lower case, or in upper case, oR mIxEd CaSe or whatever floats your boat.
Yours kinda worked... but you'd have to change every possible bit of menu items to be lower case, same as with menu editor if you went that route. ah well. r2d2 ftw.
I tried using language editor. It works, but not for the keys!! I made the phone show 'Charged' instead of 'Charge Complete' and 'Alarm' instead of 'Alarm Clock'. However... when i select my right key to go to the Alarm, it displays 'AlarmClock' anyway (The menu says 'Alarm' only). I tried customizing the menu... but that just messed up my menu, so I decided to try again sometime in the future... maybe.
Still not sure where to change the font in P2K Menu Editor or SHXCodec. I want to change soft keys to display BOTH upper and lower case. (ie. "CAMERA" I'd like to read as "Camera".) They show up in P2KMenu editor as mixed case but not on the phone. :confused13:
