..:: Official How to Make Your Own Font: Guide ::..
OK here we go guys, here's how to make your own font.
To start off all we need is:-
RandomSHX
MotoLang Editor
A Language pack off your phone, (Please follow the backup guide and backup only CG4)
Open RandomSHX and click "Extract BIN files from SHX".

Once that is completed, you will have a folder in the same place as your Language Pack called "extracted bin". You will need to remember the location of this folder.

Open up MotoLangEditor 2.2, and click File--> Open. Now browse to the extracted bin folder and select the file that ends with "2.bin". <<-- This is your cg4.
Open that file.

At the bottom you will see a list of numbers, usually 1-15. For the main font, you will need to select "01 General Font".
Notice all the characters are now on your right hand side. Now select all the characters excluding the blank one, and highlight all. I usually use CTRL + Shift + Page Down, still making sure the blank glyph is not selected.
Now you will need to choose the font you wish to replace. Click Font, then click "Select Windows Font". Choose your font and size. When you select OK, the program will tell you how big the font will be in Pixels. Please note that the best size fonts are usually between 15-17 Pixels.
Once you have one, select "Replace the Chosen Symbols" (takes about 10 seconds). Now you're done. From here you can also change the external font and dialing font by selecting the corresponding number at the bottom of the page and repeating the same procedure.
Once you are finished, click File-->Save Langpack.
Now you can close MotoLangEditor
Re-open RandomSHX and click "Create SHX from bin". Now locate the .lst file in the "extracted bin folder" and select it. Your font will now be recompiled.
It will then show up in the extracted bin folder, with the same name as your language pack.
Notes
If you get an error saying pixel size too big, Click Symbol --> Set height sets, then try different pixel sizesLast edited by Clarkey; 11-12-2007 at 07:40 AM.

ok, i've tried to find the guide for v3x but i couldn't, anyway i tried to do it with 3G Font tool, and replacing just the frist font (i read that just the first and third must replace for the new one but the third had to be resized and i don't know how to resize it and to what size) and then save the new CG4.smg, then compiled it with SHXCodec v2.66 until here it was all good but when i try to flash it appears the message
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
============== F L A S H ==============
21/10/2007 01:22:34 p.m. - Switch to flash mode.
21/10/2007 01:22:42 p.m. - Send RAMDLD...
