Lets get some basic knowledge about how to identify font type embedded in CG4.

A. Identify font type.

1. Extract CG4 / Language Pack with SBF-Recalc.
2. Use MotoLangEditor to open CG4.smg.
3. Below is True Type Font:- Goto B. True Type Font editing.
   
4. Below is Bitmap font:- Goto C. Bitmap Font editing.
   

B. True Type Font editing.

1. Open CG4.smg with MotoLangEditor.
   
2. Select Font to save, in this case the font we need to save and edit are Synergy Basic BC and Synergy Dialing BC.
3. Goto menu, "Font", "Save font".
4. To edit true type font ttf file, refer to this GUIDE.
5. Afer editing ttf file, repeat step 2 and step 3 but this time we select "Load font".
6. Save CG4.smg
7. Recalc cehcksum and compile flash file.

C. Bitmap Font editing.

1. Open CG4.smg with MotoLangEditor.
   
2. First we select font in font listed as shown below
   
3. Second, we select glyphs that we can to change.(See pic in step 2)
4. Third, Open windows font list. (See pic in step 2)
5. Select windows font, type, and size.
   
6. In this case, "General Font" height is 19 but what we get is
   
7. Repeat step 5 and step 6 until we achieve similar size.
8. The Apply changes as shown in step 2 pic.
9. Repeat step 2 to step 8 for editing other font in the list.
10. Save CG4.smg
11. Recalc cehcksum and compile flash file.

TIPS: Hey, the font i want to use not listed in Windows font list ??!! Well, you must first install the font you need, after editing cg4 then remove from Windows font folder. Happy font editing.
