Problem saving pictures that I edit
hey guys i just put in a new 4gb sdhc memory card. everything was working fine when i had a 2gb memory card. but now whenever I edit a picture and hit save it says my memory card is full. but when ever I edit a picture and choose "save as" and save it on the phone, it saves the file fine. I know the memory card isn't full because I checked. also I know the phone can write to the card because that is the default location to save a new picture and it saves them there fine. I was wondering if any of yall had this issue and/or know how to solve it. any help will be greatly appreciated.

Try exploring the file contents on the computer. Is it empty? Also, you may try putting files on it from the computer, or using it in a different phone to see if it is a phone problem or memory card problem.
One more thing, Motorola phones are very picky on their memory card. They like SanDisk cards, so others are not gauranteed to work. I don't know if that is the case on this phone too

well on the computer it all works fine. I went to a t-mobile store and used a different memory card and tried editing on a demo Zn5 but it still doesn't save edited pictures on the memory card when it had a 4gb card. and i did try a 4gb Sandisk and it didn't make a differance.
does anyone else have this problem? or should I just send my phone in to motorola for repair

Oh i noticed that on mine too. I had to make an image smaller and when I saved it, it saved to the phone. You may try saving it to the phone first, then moving it over to the memory card.
I'm not sure why it was saying memory card full though. As long as it is Sandisk and under 4GB, you should be fine.
You may want to try this:
-backup all your files on the phone
-master reset
-and master clear
-and clear all data on memory card.

Ouch. I got this error, except it says that my phone memory is full. Stock fw reflash?
Nope, scanning the phone drive under Windows did the job.Last edited by Skrilax_CZ; 03-14-2009 at 02:30 AM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

I put phone into memory card mode and connected to PC. Then I ran error checking on the phone's drive. It said no errors found but since the the phone did not claim the memory as full. However it is was rebooting when calling / receiving a call therefore a Stock fw reflash was needed.
