ZN5 Slow to respond to user imput.
I have a brand new zn5. Love the camera and all the features.
But I have one problem. Everytime i use the phone to call or hang up, the phone takes about 2 sec. to respond to my imputs. Like hanging up after talking, or typing in a phone number. It just is not as responsive as any other phone I have had. Anyone else have this problem. On the camera side of things it's quick but everything else is slow....
Any help would be great!

I think the slow UI is fairly common with the ZN5, although there are a couple of people who talk about speeding it up a bit over at mmus.us.
I just flashed the unbranded T-Mobile firmware to my T-Mobile ZN5, and it actually feels faster now, so that's one idea if you happen to be using a T-Mobile phone as well. Guides are at mmus.us for that, too.

Ya I noticed mine is a little laggy when Im using a memory card, but when the memory card is empty or none at all it doesn't lag. I have the stock T-Mobile flash

i don't understand why a phone with a 500mhz CPU can be slow in menu navigation and games!!!
And i noticed that mp3 player is more slow playing songs with album art.

Its just the software side of the phone. If you have a T-Mobile ZINE, don't try flashing a non-T-Mobile monsterpack as downgrading your flash will give you a brick.

Not yet. Well, you can flash any mp that matches your current firmware version. So, until there are non-T-Mobile MPs for the T-Mobile zINE then you can't. Or until a bootlaoder downgrade is available

You can only flash only the Retail US MP which will get rid you of the T-Mobile crap.

But I think some guys on MMUS said that you can downgrade the firmware to some 81.03.xx firmwares. Not sure about that though.

i don't have a t-mobile zn5. I have 81.03.05 and i have tried newer firmwares and i think are slow too. And now, the zn5 is excessive slow playing mp3 with album art. I cant' play music and view pictures "for example" at the same time, it is very very very slow and the phone close automatically the picture gallery . it's disappointing.

I can play music and view pictures without problems.

Ya I can do the same too without problems. I feel that the percentage of used capacity on the memory card takes a part in determining the speed of the phone.

My ZN5 started slowing down after about three months....it wa especially noticeable when texting or navigating through the animated menus. I deleted around 700 pictures and 30 captured videos from the my 2gb micro sd card. The phone is back up to speed again.
