    Question change alpha text

    I tried using OpEdit to overwrite my alpha text but it didn't work. I'm running the latest unbranded version for t-mo zn5's, is it not possible on this version?

    Surely someone has a solution for changing the alpha text or at least hiding it.

    You can use opedit to change the carrier text of the plmn_text_table.bin and then mount this file using the medld mod.

    I know that this has worked on some carriers but as far as i know not t-mobile.
    Has not worked for me with rogers either,i wish i knew!

    Only way to hide this that i know of is to edit the homescreen_p.ini file of the skin that is applied.
    The drawback is that you have to sacrifice the time as well.

    Open the homescreen_p.ini file with wordpad and look to the section for [Font_DigitalClockStd]

    Change the line that reads "size = ??"
    If you set to 1000 that should do the trick.
    Save the changes and reload to the phone.

    [Font_DigitalClockStd]
    OutlineSize = 1
    OutlineColor = 0
    AntiAliasing = 1
    Color = 16777215
    Align = 2
    Leading = 20
    Style = 16
    Size = 1000

    If you want to remove the date as well do the same edit for the section that reads [Font_DateStd]
