I know that the zn5's speed can get frustrating at times (specially for the 06.2A models)
But this fw here, R6637_G_81.03.0DR, is extremely fast, I find faster than any fw I've come across, even faster than the modded ones...
This is a stock fw, It has been tried by many users and is totally stable. However it doesn't have qvga recording.

I'd like to thank you all for your work first of all !!!!
I've been able to unlock, update bootloader and flash my ZN5
thanks to your stickies, instructions, etc. without bothering anyone.
I'm brand new at the ZN5, had it for 3 days now.
I flashed it with 7FR. I like it, but would like to know if I can try
or should try this stock flash ?? I have 6.2DP, this is why I ask can I.

I've used Wifi and Opera on 7FR, there are a few things I miss about the "stock" flash, but after playing around with 7FR, I might get used to the way it is. I tried it for a day before I flashed, and I did notice the changes.

I can no longer press and hold 1 for voicemail...and I miss the media
player link. Is it there and I'm overlooking it ??? I like to be able to shuffle randomly. I love music and use my phone for media more than anything...the reason I bought the ZN5 to start with is the camera, FM and MP3 to give you an idea. I'd rather have a camera with a phone than vice-versa.

I have MP3 ringtones in their own folder and it "pulls" them in with my other music...how can I stop this ??

0DR has less camera quality. Same as 0ER.

which one is better ? the sym IV or this stock FW ?

PS : i used this phone mostly for sms, some browsing, taking some pict & sometimes listening to music. which one will you recommend for me to use ?

If you just use the zn5 for daily stuff, use 0DR or stock 2CR(T-mobile) depending on your bootloader version.

Well you can gain speed perhaps by recompiling the CGs (even stock) but lowering the block size.

In terms of picture quality I suggest to you 0AR or 11.20R (11.17R for T-Mobile).

Use "R6637_G_81.00.58I" ramloader for the firmware (tick all except CG37 & CG48). You can try backing up also the bootloader using "06.2A BOOTLOADER", but it might fail. What is your firmware version? Can you upload the backups?
