Yes you are right. I'm pretty tech savvy and call myself intermediate but the linux system in the ZN5 is still new to me and still learning everyday.

RDS is a rare topic in the forum and since my inquiry is related to the Symbiosis X.1 firmware. It was a simple question/suggestion. No so much a problem. Any answers to it would be appreciated. Thankx

I have to say that without alternative f/w to the stock. My phone would be a waste of money (which has never happened in the past) Thanks to everyone for workin hard on the ZN5 and making it last longer. Keep it going. I really do appreciate it =)

Sorry but the picture you have posted isn't a RAW file. It is a jpeg file. ZN5 RAW files ends with .tiff (black-white) and have to be converted with Rawtherapee for example. Except Binned RAW, but this is blurred in a lower resolution. But RAW pictures are useless for ZN5. Jpegs are better.

dont think any website will show raw file, they will be converted anyway.

You cannot convert the ZN5 RAW output with a browser nor automatically with online viewing. With RAW mode the phone is doing two files, one usually jpeg picture and the other one a .tiff black-white file. The picture he posted is just the jpeg picture and not a RAW sample.

anyway, other MP with RAW funcition is really weak on the infrared, and this firmware did very good cos of that, even in total darkness, flash power is great too!

hopefully RAW in this MP soon! just got my used zn5 2 days back from SG for the camera.

Yes, you need to convert to jpeg first.

Yes he have to convert the RAW in order to display the picture. But the one he posted is just the original jpeg picture.

do you have swap enabled?? the camera in this FW is a little "heavy" due the patches and changes to the camera lib...
