(metroPCS) MOTOROKR z6m Problems..

Problems:
I have searched and used all knowledge i could find on how to hook my phone up using p2k, MPT, MSU, PST, you name it i tried it nothing detects the phone.. I have installed the latest USB Drivers v3.5.0..

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

ok nevermind, i got it to work.. all i had to do was restart the phone?¿ lol anywayz it works now..

ok nevermind, i got it to work.. all i had to do was restart the phone?¿ lol anywayz it works now..

Do you use a memory card? Without one it will seem as the phone is not being detected but it's just in the bg. When you plug the phone in/out does it make a noise? Also you can check in the phone settings and make sure under usb it says it's connecting as a Usb Drive and not a modem.

i have the same problem but the computer never reads my micro sd it only charges it what can i do to fix that

First of all, you NEED the drivers (Which you said you had.)

Second, use PST and Bitpim for everything you need. If PST don't recognize the phone, delete the drivers and try again.

install rsd general (make sure the install file is msu that way you know its direct from motorola) with rsd running in the background like msu p2k will work... also make sure you have usb handset drivers 3.5.0

Theres a option in the connection menu that lets you select USB MODE or SD Mode.. SD Mode will let the comp connect to the phone like a Pen drive , Nice for all those people who dont have Card readers. USB Mode lets you connect via PC software (you will need the USB drivers) Handset_USB_Driver_32_v3.5.0 in the downloads section....

actually the connection options are usb mode or modem/com the usb mode would be the mode to set as a flash drive but if you are having problems connecting its a software issue not a driver issue

I got the same phone and service and im about to throw this damn thing.
I got the drivers and the motorola 5.o5 program and all that and it wont detect my phone, i tried to restart it and all that good stuff and NOTHIN.

my z6m connects no problem, as does my v9m, my lg glimmer, and my v3m all on metro its not a phone issue its your computer

i been trying all day to mod my metro pcs but i download the content and i save it on my skin i look for it and its not there what an i doing wrong

thats crap i have modded my z8m rokr,you will need the following software:
motorola service tools
and
motoutilities along p2k commander, when you have those email me and i will lead you through to modding your phone

when i modded my z6m before, i had to use an older version of p2k. i dont remember which version it was though. i remember i did not need anything more than p2k and msu. also i used skinman to install skins....of course now i wish that i had backed up all that stuff somewhere. i put a lot of love into that thing. i even cut away pieces from the black and orange Rizr z6 housing so that my phone would fit inside. unfortunately i was robbed at gunpoint about 2 weeks ago and the only thing that the person got from me was my phone. so now its back to the drawing board. i have new blue razr-esque keys and a new chrome/silver housing on the way. definately will miss my orange z6m, with the skins and star wars lightsaber sliding tone.
