[MPKG] Hidefolders v2.0f and AppsBackup v2.0f

Hi all

I apologize for my bad english in advance xD

I'm proud of present to you these small applications I've made.

AppsBackup 2.0

This mpkg application allows you to make backups from all applications in your SD card, in a solid file named this way:

Backup_DDMMAAAA_HHmm.SDAppsBackup.tar

where:
DD: Day,
MM: Month,
AAAA: Year,
HH: Hour,
mm: Minutes

so, DDMMAAA_HHmm is the date when the backup was made.
Backup and restore processes may take some time, it depends on the quantity of applications you've installed in your SD card. So, please don't overcharge your E2's processor (playing music, browsing the web or running java apps) while the program makes or restores any backup.


There's another way of operation: you can extract all the application installers (.jar, .mpkg) from the applications in your memory card or phone memory. All application installers will be copied to MyInstallers folder in your memory card.



HideFolders 2.0f
This application hides / shows any folder you choose in your memory card's main folder (/mmc/mmca1/); you can choose and hide/unhide it with ease... hidden folders show a name with a dot (like .system folder)


Likewise, you can put a plain text file named "hide.cfg" in your memory card main folder to hide/unhide a list of folders (you must put paths relative to your memory card root folder), all names must be sepparated by spaces.
For example:

MyRingtones MyPorn MyPhotos/MyGF

if you make a hide.cfg file with this content and put it in your SD card's main folder, you will hide or unhide the following folders:
/mmc/mmca1/MyRingtones
/mmc/mmca1/MyPorn
/mmc/mmca1/MyPhotos/MyGF

I know, I know.... the snapshots are in spanish... I'm too lazy to make an alternative english version of these apps... so... I made a language selector wich appears only the the first time you run them! hehe

Err a good question will be "what does this do for me?" 'cos so far everything is in my memory card and well, what kind of backup you mean? (Sorry I'm kind of a newbie)

You can install java and mpkg applications on phone memory or memory card. But with memory card sometimes... well... let's say... **** happens xD...
fat16 is a 'weak' filesystem. I mean, if you unplug your cellphone in memory card mode without making a safe extraction (yeah, the green icon on your systray) the applications in your memory card may not appear anymore in your menu or simply get broken... with appsbackup you will be able to make backups from these applications. Even you can get back the original installation files (.jar, .mpkg) from the applications you've installed in your memory card or phone memory...
hidefolders may help you hidding things you don't wanna look on file manager, or hide a folder you don't want to be readed while media finder is refreshing.

Do u know if its possible to create an app that shutdown other apps? like if i want to listen music while i am getting sleep and i want the music stoped in 1 more hour?? it will be really cool!!! thanks again from Valparaíso-Chile

Yup, it's possible. Even, it's piece of cake ^^. Sadly, I don't have a ROKR E2 (it was stolen ¬&#172 May you come to spanish E2 forum? I'm more active there....
