Here i add this guide to reduce threads which have the same questions or problems:

-------------------------------------------- 1- General ---------------------------------------------------

1.1--All icons in main menu have disappeared, how i fix it?

Go to ezx_user/download/appwrite/am and delete the file called UserMenuTree, and reboot your phone...

1.2--I can´t update the media player list, it stays updating and never ends

You have to deactivate the viewing of the system folder in the File Manager. Go to LinkSys and Unmount it

1.3---When I'm filming the video camera closes.

The recording in QCIF quality (352x288) is not very stable and is likely that it closes at times. It is safer to film in QVGA quality (320x240). It also happens that it closes after you change the video sizes with Video-Set, so that after making changes, I recommend you to restart the phone.

1.4---I can´t change my Bluetooth device name.

First, you have to turn on your BT, later you will be able to change it.

1.5---When i want to do a Master Reset, my phone freezes.

You have to do by choosing a default skin, then you have to delete or move all the files that run at startup which are not the default files, as the font myfont.ttf, ezx_volumetable.cfg, the startup sound ui_startup_mono.wav, among others, usually located in File Manager/Unknown/My_FAVOR. And disable the swap.

1.6---When i connect my phone to my pc as mass storage, my E2 freezes.

Before connecting it, you have to check that you're not using an Sd skin, and make sure you have disabled swap memory.

1.7---Where are skins located?

Phone skins are located in ezxlocal/download/appwrite/skin and *.chm files are in ezx_user/download/appwrite/setup/theme.
Sd skins are located in My_SKIN/skin and *.chm files are in Unknown/My_SKIN/setuptheme.


1.8---My battery does not last long, How can I improve battery duration?

There are many ways. Use the combination you want:
-Go to Menu> Settings > Network > Search Setup and in Speed choose Slow.
-Lower a bit the brightness of your screen.
-Reduce the time of your screen and/or keyboard´s light.
-If you're going to play much with games, you can deactivate the keyboard lights.
-You have one UnderClocking (lower the speed of your processor). For example, try 104/208/312 Mhz.

---------------------------------------------- 2-Flashing ------------------------------------------------

2.1---What do i need to flash my rokr E2? How I flash it?


-Download and install Motorola USB Drivers, from HERE
-Get a recent version of RSD lite, and install it in your pc.
-Download the Firmware you want.
-Charge fully your battery.
-Make a copy of your contacts to the SIM card, and the stuff you have in phone memory. After flashing, all things will be deleted.
-Conect your phone to your pc in boot mode (press the VR button and the power button together). Open RSD lite and check the program have detected your phone.
-Press “…” button, and choose the firmware file (It must be an *.sbf and/or an *.shx file)
-If the Fw has two files, first flash the *.shx in the second boot, and later the *.sbf in first boot.
-Now press Start. The flashing process may last 10 minutes approximately. When it shows PASS the flashing is finished!
-If it shows Please Manually turn on the phone, then take out your battery, reinsert it and connect your phone to pc, now it should show PASS.

2.2---Ok, but How do i access to the second boot?

-When you acces to the boot mode, you are in the first boot by default. In the screen must show MBM FLASH MODE. If you press the VR button, you change to second boot. Now your screen should show USB BP Pass Through Mode.

2.3---The firmware i have downloaded only have one of the two files (only sbf file or only shx file)

If you Orly have one file, then flash it in the first boot.

2.4---What firmware do you recommend? Which is the best firmware?

Well, that is something subjective of saying. But, generally, the recommended firmwares are the last ones, because they are more stable, have many bugs fixed, support features like kernel V3 and read SDHC by default, and have more preloaded mpkg´s. Anyways, before deciding, compare and read opinions of members who have already used it, and ask questions you feel necessary. HERE in the Firmwares section, check the latest fw´s ordered by release date.



------------------------------------------ 3 - Java Applications -------------------------------------------

3.1--I have java games which works slowly, How can i improve them?

You have to use the mpkg HeapSizeX to increase the heap size, in other words, it´s like assign more Ram memory to the game.

3.2--Ok but what Heap Size value do i have to put to the game?

Generally it works ok if you assign a value similar to the game size, for example: if the size is 925kb, then try assigning a value of 1024kb. Anyway, you can try with other values for seeing if it works better

3.3-- I have tried all heap size values, but it still does not work!

Well, then it mat be possible that your game requires a 3D graphics accelerator which is not available in rokr E2. So, unfortunately, you will be unable to play it in this phone.

3.4---How do i give reading and writing java perms to my apps?

Here: [Guide] Install docviewer, cTunes, KDplayer, etc.. without PC is the way to give full java access using PhoneWareManager (also called Software Manager) without the needing of a pc.

3.5---But when i want to open the Software Manager, it shows: ‘Unrecognized java Perm for ´x´ ‘, how do I fix it?

If it happens, then you have to uninstall the application which is giving you problems, and reinstall it giving full java acces with the Software Manager like the guide explains…


--------------------------------------- 4 - Emulators and Native games ----------------------------------

4.1--I can´t play GBA games, the emulator just closes.

You have to search the GBA bios, we can´t post it here because it is warez, so you´ll have to google it. It´s a *.bin file with a size of 16kb. When you download it, locate it in E2muX/gba/bios of your memory card. It may be possible that, anyway, the games don´t run. Then, you´ll have to search it in other site until you get the right file.

4.2--GBA games run slow.

I recomend you to use a swap of at least 32Mb. You also can use an APMD file for increase the processor speed while you are playing. Locate the APMD file in E2muX/apmd of your memory card

4.3--Games of the EzxFBA run slowly.

I recommend you to use at least 32Mb of swap. But preferently 64Mb.

4.4--Games of EzxFBA take too much time for loading and many times it closes.

There isn´t a stable version of this emulator yet. So don´t play games of more than 20Mb. The size of the game is directly proportional to time you´ll have to wait and to the quantity of times you will have to try to make them load without the emulator closes itself.

4.5---Many times when I play games with EzxEmu, sound doesn work, Why?

It happens because system sounds doesn't let playing game sounds. If you reboot the game a couple of times, it fixes, but if you want to ensure that game sounds work, then you have to play in Vibrate or Silent Profile.

4.6---I can´t play Doom mods (Pwads) with the prBoom.

La mayoría de los mods necesitan el Doom 2 para poder jugarlos. Consigue el Doom 2 y ponlo en games/data/doom de tu tarjeta de memoria.
Most of the mods needs the Doom 2 for being played. Get the Doom 2 and place it in games/data/doom of your memory card.
